Hello and welcome to Chapter three of the Marina Alphabetacy: Transformed!

Last Time: After walking out on Adrianna and Annie, Artemis moved in with Heather and Chip after thinking Adrianna was cheating on her. Adrianna was left to support herself and Annie and trying to juggle her job with caring for her daughter. She got a job singing at the local cafe, where she saw Artemis with another woman. After fleeing the cafe, heartbroken, Adrianna went back home. The next day, Artemis arrived there and the two talked through the problems and re-united. After a few days together, Artemis discovered she was pregnant. By now, Annie was a child and was facing her first day at school, where she was bullied by one of the girls who chased her around the playground.

With Annie growing up so fast and another baby on the way, Adrianna and Artemis decided it was time to move to a bigger house. Adrianna had been saving for a while and they were just able to afford a house that Adrianna had been longing for quite a while.

As Artemis walked up to their new house for the first time, she began to feel extremely proud of herself and Adrianna that they were able to afford it. Although the house was bare and there wasn't a lot of furniture, they still had room for their growing family.

As Adrianna went off to work, and Annie went to school, Artemis painted throughout the day, trying to bring the family more money to make their home even more perfect for them.

As Adrianna and Artemis were sitting on the bed later that evening, they were quietly talking to each other about the baby which was on its way.

"It's not fair!" Adrianna complained. "I wanted to be the one pregnant again!"

"You were pregnant last time!" Artemis replied, laughing.

"I know, but I really enjoyed it! I'm just jealous" Adrianna said, smiling.

They were both silent for a moment before Artemis replied "Why don't we try for another baby?"

Adrianna sat in shock for a moment, "Are you sure we can deal with two babies?"

"I'm sure we'll manage!" Artemis responded.

Adrianna beamed as she shuffled towards Artemis on the bed.

Two days later, Artemis went into labour whilst she was halfway through one of her paintings.

"Ade?!" she screamed, hoping that she would hear her.

As she heard Adrianna shouting a response, it was too late. In a matter of seconds, Artemis and Adrianna's new son was born.

Adrianna arrived into the living room, just as the birth was finishing.

"I missed it" she exclaimed, sounding disheartened.

"I did call!" Artemis replied, grinning at the bundle in her arms. "Well, you definitely won't miss the next birth" she said, turning to face Adrianna's growing belly.

As Artemis placed her new son, Albus, into his cot she felt a wave of emotion sweep over her. She was extremely proud of her newborn son, and he was a fantastic addition to her family.

Albus is named after Albus Dumbledore from the Harry Potter series. Dumbledore was one of the greatest wizards in the world and he was headmaster of Hogwarts. He assists Harry in his mission to destroy Voldemort and his horcruxes.

“The sky looks beautiful tonight” Adrianna commented later that night as she and Artemis lay under the stars.

Artemis nodded. “It reminds me of my home town”

There was silence for a minute before Adrianna replied. “Where is your home town?”

“I used to live in a town called Astra Villa. I had a big family there, who I grew old with. When it came for the time when I had to die, I thought I was going into the afterlife. I woke up here, and at first, I thought it was the afterlife. I waited for my family to join me, but they never did. Eventually, I met Heather and she explained everything to me! She told me I was here to lead a life without all the drama of my old one, but so far, this life has been just as dramatic as the last!” Artemis explained.

“Are you being serious?” Adrianna asked.

“I sound mad, don’t I?” Artemis replied, laughing slightly.

“No, it’s just that .... It happened to me too ... sort of. I used to live in a town called Neverglade. I had a family too, but I didn’t die. I fell down a huge hole, and when I woke up I found myself here. I met Heather soon after and she told me that I was here to stop living a life where I wasn’t myself. She told me this was my new life and I needed to be who I really was, and not who people wanted me to be.”

Artemis was silent for a moment, before rubbing her hand over Adrianna’s belly. “I am so excited to raise our family together, Ade” she muttered, admiring the stars.

“Me too” Adrianna replied.

At that moment, Annie was sitting on her bed, not having even got ready for it. She was too busy thinking about the things the girls at school would do to her the next day. The bullying had got increasingly worse recently, but still Annie had said nothing to Adrianna and Artemis, not wanting to worry them.

The next afternoon, Annie decided to go the park with Beth after school. As they were playing on the playground, Annie found herself to be laughing and enjoying herself greatly.

“Woo! Go faster!” she shouted to Beth.

Beth gave one last push and then he jumped aboard the roundabout too. He began squealing to himself and the roundabout sped around and around.

“Look girls!” said a voice from beside them. “It’s the freaks, squealing like pigs”

As the roundabout began to slow down, Annie saw four girls, pointing and laughing at herself and Beth.

Beth looked at Annie and then put his foot on the ground, slowing the roundabout down. When it had stopped moving, he hopped off it.

“Come on Annie, let’s go!” he called, starting to walk off.

Annie hopped off too and began to follow Beth.

The girls followed Annie, two of them running in front of her and two staying behind her, surrounding her.

“Just leave me alone!” Annie shouted.

The girls giggled, one of them reached out and poked Annie hard in the back.

“OI!” shouted a voice from behind the girls. “Leave her alone!”

The girls looked at Janis, the leader, in total fear. She quickly sprinted off, the others not far behind her.

Beth’s dad walked up to Annie. “Are you okay? Did the bitches hurt you?” he asked.

“No... No, I’m fine ... thank you” she replied, before running off herself.
