OMG. Your children are BEAUTIFUL. Absolutely beautiful. Wow. And they've grown so much!!

My grandfather had both legs amputated - at different times. It was super hard on him and on our family. But he did it. Got his prosthetic, re-learned to walk (both times), and everything was ok. Life went on. It will be ok, your mom will be ok. It'll be this hurdle that will be the hardest part.

*big hugs*

Could she have really grown that much since the last time I saw a picture of her?! That is crazy!

I'd love to be added.

My first serious boyfriend in highschool had a mother that was very sick when I met her. Both of her ankles had been fused and she was ravaged with infection. She had both of her legs amputated below the knee a year into the relationship. It was really hard to know what to say, how much to help, whether it was okay to look at her. I realized after a while that she just wanted to be as close to "normal" as possible. Her legs were gone, but she could still laugh and carry a conversation. It was so awkward for me (and my boyfriend), but we got used to it after a few months. I'm sure everything will adjust to a new version of "normal" eventually. *hug*

I'd like to be added to the new journal when you make it.

I'm sorry about your mom. I'll be praying and thinking of her on Wednesday, and you.

The kiddos are beautiful. Getting so big.

Oh my god, your babehs are gorgeous!

I'm sorry about your mom. My grandpa had to get a leg amputated and it never really healed but he was really old and had diabetes and smoked for 60 years, etc. I had no idea how to interact with him for a while; it was like no one wanted to talk about it, but it was all people talked about, if that makes any sense. Anyway, I hope she'll be ok. I hope you'll be ok.
