The Zutara War
Once upon a time, Paige promised me tons of underage sex by the form of Zuko X Katara in the popular series Avatar. She refused to give me any fic recs until I watched the episodes, so I put myself to the task eagerly.
Three days later or so, I've seen them all...and was also completely puzzled about any possibility of the Zutara ship. "Paige, you liar!" I wrote her. "There are no scenes, no clues, no shippy moment whatsoever!" I felt cheated.
Paige then explained to me that Zutara was a total AU ship. The explanation made sense to me. I mean, of course you can't help wanting to see the motherly maiden and the dark young prince together. What if, on a stormy right, they were stuck in a cave...Yup. Improbable, but good stuff.
...so you can imagine my surprise when I fell on a super war about the Zutara ship...how could the creators NOT made them together? After teasing us so! It's wrong! etc.
These people are believers. And I ask, where? Where do they see the canon stuff? Where do they see the clues, the teasing? I didn't see any. I wanna be in! TELL ME!
