It's now 2013!!!!! \o/ Fresh start, aww yeah. I love the beginning of each year when I am full of hope that I will become a radder person and have not yet begun the slow process of disillusionment. I'm not even going to talk about whether I managed my 2012 goals because wow what a tragic tale of woe. How about we all imagine something cooler happening there. Maybe I became a airline pilot or something, if I don't say you can totally imagine that's what happened.

23. Snow White & The Huntsman (December 12) -- 3 stars
Man this movie was confused. I felt like they were trying to elicit sympathy for Ravenna and say something about patriarchy and beauty but they weren't quite willing to go all the way? Idek. Actually a lot of this movie felt like it could have used more expansion, I wanted to know more about how Christianity co-exists with a world with observable magic (felt a bit Narnia-esque that way) and how precisely Snow White was linked to the land. But on the bright side: summer blockbuster movie starring two women! :D Plus I feel like this is the kind of movie that has the potential for a really great fandom; it's exactly the kind of interesting half drawn world to pull in writers. 3 stars
