Good dog to good home

Earlier today, driving to the grocery, I found a stray dog. She was timid at first, but became friendly when she realized I wasn't going to hurt her. I don't think she's been gone for very long and possibly has a home. But I live in a largely developed neighborhood and I don't have time to go knocking on everyone's door in the heat trying to find her owner. And by the looks of her, I'm not sure if her owner should get her back.
She's a golden brown dog, gold eyes, medium build, less then 100 lbs, about a year old, female, and very friendly.
I had no room at my house to keep her, so I had to take her to the animal control on CR 561 in Tavares. They will call me before they euthinize her, in case I've found her a home. If I don't find her a home before friday, or if her owners don't claim her, I might have to let her be put down.
I REALLY do not want this!!!
