I feel compelled to inform everyone that there is indeed a
Chapter 216 fic/drabble - by
half_sleeping, so if you liked it, please do
tell her so. I did. ♥
And when I said Certain Sections of Chapter 216 looked like a doujinshi come to life; I did actually have one particular artist in mind:
THIS ONE.
Angelica! They, in my opinion, produce some of the prettiest reborn doujinshi.

only the plots make me laugh. a lot
bigger 1200x1257 scan translation, I kid you not:
'Which Knight will it be this evening?'
*DIES*
'Goodnight, sweet prince, and may hordes of Guardians turn up to disturb your rest.'
♥
Note, this was long before Genkishi turned up in quite the Phantom Knight fashion he has now.
Gokudera is quite clearly the one holding Tsuna's right hand (ha ha ha),
Yamamoto, I think, is the one cradling the left side of Tsuna's face.
I think Hibari is the owner of the hand in the white shirt,
and I think Mukuro's is the hand in Tsuna's hair.
ETA for Guardian Guessing Game:
analyse pointed out that hand-in-Tsuna's hair is Yamamoto (on a closer inspection, she's right!)
Then now Guardian-identity reallocation begins!
spazzimidori thinks that Yamamoto and Mukuro should be interchanged, I am all right with the Yamamoto but am not sure Mukuro would wear those clothes, and also think that the Cloud and Mist rings would look similar in the kind of artwork we've got ~
This is from the back of a Tsuna Uke anthology I own.
I haven't seen it scanned yet (and I checked), although
tsuderascans does have two such anthologies up.
bigger scan.
Every doujin anthology has a theme for which each artist draws a picture.
This anthology's theme is, "I know Tsuna's (Tenth's) secret ♥".
XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
I'M NOT SURE THAT'S A SECRET, TSUNA ;)
This one's more of a choice of semantics than an actual error. I just would prefer "gouge".
Franky House had the right idea, but uh... the spelling. Wasn't quite. There.
poor misunderstood Genkishi. No, REALLY.
You know that line about being backstabbed (Franky House: it sounds prettier, but it wasn't quite what Genkishi said, even if that was the essence of what he was saying)?
I would actually have translated it as, ‘So how does it feel? Being killed (that is actually the word he uses) by the family you believed in?’
I don't actually know how both teams chose to miss out on 'the family you believed in' despite the fact that Genkishi actually says, "自分の信じた 仲間".
The full text:
Genkishi: どうだ? 自分の信じた 仲間 (ファミリー) に 殺される 気分は!!
Notice that when Genkishi is talking about his famiglia, he actually is using the word 仲間 (nakama). The famiglia only comes in because that's how the furigana at the side is written (which means Genkishi really means his famiglia).
I mean, feel free to correct me if you think I am horribly wrong, but at this moment I do think it is what he's saying.
uh. In every case it does boil down to how much he wants to KILL!!!!!, but I think for both lines I would have picked the less extreme of each of the translations. The original is not quite so sadistic as, "I wanted to kill them to see what would happen!"
I did say I wanted Gokudera and Tsuna to meet again, HOWEVER. This is really a case of 'be careful what you ask for. You just might get it - just. Not quite the way you wanted.'
I first wondered why Chrome was naked, and then I realised that every emerging Guardian was, too. The skeletons that Genkishi produces are first clothed in flesh and then actual/illusory clothes. And then they all jump Tsuna, but that is that.
It almost sounds like Genkishi himself was subjected to the same Hell Ring torment that he is presently visiting on Tsuna. Wouldn't it be interesting (if predictable) if the Genkishi that the Giglio Nero sent to speak to Byakuran had still been their Genkishi, and what Byakuran put him through forcibly altered his loyalties?
