scanner's note
A while back, I read (and loved) an excruciatingly sweet doujin titled
Me And the Older Brother (Part 1) (
Part 2 here, both locked to
hitman_reborn). The doujin was AU, and its central premise sets up Mukuro as Tsuna's adopted Niisan (if you've read enough of the wrong right *cough* kind of BL manga, you'll know this is a very common set-up for... well, I said BL manga, didn't I? I think Masara Minase might even have covered that plot...). The Reborn doujin in question was very G-rated, though - seeing as how Mukuro's fifteen and Tsuna's six - giving them a nine-year age difference which I firmly believe was entirely intentional, seeing as how it was expressly highlighted in the doujin.
I've not seen anything like it posted since, but I do believe it gave me an enduring weakness for anything with an appropriate cover that calls itself a 'Mukuro - Tsuna Family Love Doujin'. I am revoltingly weak to AU!family!Reborn anything, and this is clearly no exception. This particular doujin sets up Mukuro as, well, single parent to not one but two Tsunas.
... only you, Japanese fandom.
preview, warning for TOXIC LEVELS OF FLUFF
The Tsunas discover Mukuro's Internet Activities:
This is why you shouldn't leave your computer unattended when you have young and very curious children at home.
Especially if your name is Rokudo Mukuro and you have been up to Surfing Questionable Material.
This particular story had the twin Tsunas innocently asking Mukuro was "ガチホモ" was. ガチホモ - (gachihomo) can best be explained in brief by removing the words "gachi" and adding the words "sexual" after the remaining four letters.
For a more detailed explanation: There is quite an excellent post on ガチホモ
here (although the poster is not entirely sure what it means). This
list of Japanese terms murdered on the Internet is amusing and lists the meaning of gachi as "playing for keeps", which I'm not sure applies in this context.
This post uses ガチホモ in the context of Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei's yaoi pairings, so I think it's quite safe to say that ガチホモ can be taken to mean "AND MORE HARD GAY, PLEASE".
etherealtsuki's
comment here explains that gachihomo means a gay man who leaves absolutely no doubt that he's gay.
... oh, Mukuro.
"Gachihomo Papa!" says Tsuna, exuberantly.
"But!" "But!" say both the Tsunas -
"No matter what Mukuro-Papa's name is, (you're) our Papa!"
I really, really loved that part where Mukuro comes home (from work, I assume) and goes "TADAIMA", and the Tsunas run to him and go, "Okaeri, Mukuro!"
