Life, Glee, Merlin, and Cookies!

HOKAY.

So it's been a while. Hello.

I would really love to post an individual entry for each episode of Merlin since I posted last, but that would take forever. Anywho, Season 2 finally picked up. And I'm happy. For the most part. But I'll get to that later!

First,

THANK THE GODS THAT MY SEMESTER IS OVER!!! I finished with 4 A's and 1 B. =D All that worrying for nothing. But good news, no gray hairs. ;)

I'm still working on Christmas presents for my besties. They're Merlin related, and I'll have to post what they are AFTER Christmas so they don't have the possibility of seeing this lol. But I will say that they're going to love them!

My car is broken. Again. And it's going to be a while before it's fixed because my transmission is gone-gone-goney-gone. -sigh-

Oh! On a happier note! OH MY GOODNESS! GLEE!!!! The finale was soooo great! I was so giddy. So, so giddy. Too bad we have to wait until April to see the rest of the damn show. =( Yay for the Emma and Will kiss. It was so perfect. And FINALLY Fin knows Puck's the baby daddy. I feel like this is one of the only fast paced shows on TV. There's nothing that leaves us hanging on for too long, and as my friend Ali pointed out, there's no long lasting unnecessary sexual tension.

STOP! MERLIN TIME!

Season 2, episode 9- The one with Freya. SOOOO SAD. AND COLIN IS AMAZING. And when Freya howled, I laughed so hard I cried. XD
Season 2, episode 10- The only with destiny...and chicken. So lighthearted. Bradley James looked extra hot for some reason (I hold firm that is was something with his hair)
Season 2, episode 11. Wonderful. Asa Butterfield. Amazing. Enough said.

NOW!
Season 2, episode 12. Best episode of the season. I find it ironic that both of my favorite episodes from both seasons happen to be 12. And both are Morgana centric, and both are treacherous. Odd huh?

So, I'm going to go with some of the things that irk me first because the good things outweigh the bad.

The bad:
1.) Morgause doing that little spell on Morgana to put her to sleep/protect her/send her back to her room. Ok, she asks her if she wants Uther dead, she says yes, and then she does that spell, and Morgana is super confused later because Morgause never let her in on the plan. Why didn't she? Doesn't she trust her? Wouldn't it have been better if Morgana would have known? She could have helped.

2.) Morgana's lost her mojo. XD I swear. No more feisty girl. She's all confused and near crying and whiny. I mean, she was super confused and probably had good reason to be scared this time, but that's getting so old. I miss free thinking Morgana.

By the way: I love how everyone over on the Merlin Forums on ff.net said the knights looked like Ringwraiths from LOTR. They really did XD

The Good:
1.) The humor. Creepy!Gaius smile was creepy! And Arthur grabbing Uther's face during "He is NOT all right!" I gigglesnorted when he dropped his head back down on the table. And the Merthur banter. XD So adorable and serious at the same time.

2.) The Merlin/Morgana scenes. Ugh. Colin is such an amazing actor. And his face after he poisoned Morgana was soooo heartbreaking. And her reaction. And him holding her. GAH. My inner M/M shipper was fangirling so hard. I only wish that moment had happened under happier circumstances.

I actually wish that whole thing would have played out like this:
Merlin either tells her about his magic, or she tells him the truth about Morgause and all that jazz. Then she decides on her own that she should poison herself so that everyone else can be saved. That would have made me really happy. I just don't see Morgana going evil. She's not that one sided! She obviously couldn't kill Uther (Arthur left her alone, to watch over Uther, with a sword!) so she's not a baddie! -sigh- I'm actually in the process of writing ep. 12 the way I wanted it to be. =D

3.) The dragon. Ok, while I have always thought the dragon had a super hidden agenda, this confirmed it. Merlin is dumb for trusting the dragon so much. Merlin should have done the quizzical eyebrow raise when GSD was all "You must kill the witch!" He's a bit like the Cheshire Cat. He's cryptic and you can never quite tell who's side he's on. I love/hate it!

4.) Morgause's SWIRLY WIND OF DOOM! exit. It was awesome. And there really wasn't bad CGI in this episode. It was actually rather simplistic. And wonderful.

5.) The idea of the sleeping sickness. It was so great. Mainly because we just got to hone all of our focus on Merlin, Arthur, and Morgana. I loved it.

Ok, I would keep going, but I must go!
There will be more to come about episode 13 next week!

For now, I leave you with pictures of the Merlin cookies my friends and I made. =D

Note that Gwen looks like a whore XD

Morgana's name cookie turned out to be a fail of epic proportions.

This needs no explanation!
