Hnnh . . . Such weakness. Unforgivable.
How difficult it is to dwell upon, even after such a length of time has passed. That in the moment to validate my existence, to prove my own claims, to strike down the evil which I have long rallied against . . .
I fail. And fail completely, in every sense of the word. My survival now is due solely to the grace of the gods.
Yet I cannot be entirely distraught. It is a lesson well learned. I dare even to think that, perhaps, it was a trial constructed solely for my benefit. Wesker's transformation was never more than a minor inconvenience to those residing here. Should a true menace ever arise . . . I shall be well prepared. I have seen to that.
Touching upon the subject, I ought not to be so surprised. I had already been aware of my inherent resistance to flame; an extension of such a passive trait to an active control over the element is not entirely unlogical. Yet, it came entirely unexpected -- though, of course, it was a welcome surprise. At the present, manifestation of my internal flame almost seems a simple trick in comparison to the manner in which it first made itself known. I shall focus now on greater mastery of this power, though I seem to have reached a limit of sorts. No doubt a further regain of memory will reveal more.

Ahh . . . My sincere apologies for my delayed response. It has been several weeks since I have felt well enough to leave my bedroom, though I received your gifts nonetheless. To all my benefactors, you have my deepest thanks.
Beat: Quite thoughtful of you. I regret to say, however, that there did not appear to be any wing-holes, and I was forced to insert my own . . . The fabric did not hold up well.
Mist: I am quite sorry for my absence; I plan to resume work immediately in the morning. The cookies were exquisite.
Momo: Though it took me several attempts before I realized the proper approach to eating these candies, they are quite good. What are they called?
Ranulf: . . . You are . . . very kind. Far more than I deserve. Someday, you must allow me to do you such a deed in turn.
Red Mage: . . . Forgive my ignorance. What does this card mean?
Tibarn: I greatly appreciate it. Allow me to cook you a dish from the book, whatever you may desire.
((As a side note, the majority of this deals with

Also, Ledah has missed work ever since I have gone on hiatus, presumably due to first recovering from getting beat up by Dracula, then from spending his time in his room practicing setting himself on fire.))
