So, today, after 13 years, the diesel has moved on to greener pastures. I found a buyer and he picked it up today. I think my current mood on the car search now is to hold until the next model year. The reason why is that the VW Golf Alltrack (the AWD version of the Sportswagen) is coming out next model year. Just got an e-mail from them about a proposed $1 monthly fee for E-ZPass. Personally, I think this is a mistake. For those of us where E-ZPass usage is occasional (like myself), we are likely to drop the E-ZPass, meaning more congestion and use of the coin machines or manned stations. I used to complain that every time I took my car in, it would always cost about $200 to fix.

I long for those days, because nowadays the bill seems to be at least $500.

Now they are telling me that I'll get the car back on Wed. A week and a half to fix what I considered relatively minor damage. Unacceptable.

Quality Auto Body is anything but.

The body shop has had it all week and has told me that I won't get it back today either. I'm fortunate that I can stay at home right now, being on overhead, otherwise I'd be causing a lot of inconvenience for my wife or shelling out $50 a day for a rental car.
