Ah, nostalgia...
Steam is of course doing their year end holiday sale, where I spend way too much money on games I probably won't get to for a while. Yes, I know my weaknesses. The good thing is, some of the games are at a price point where they aren't that temping. (For example, I was able to resist Mass Effect 2 for $10, partially because I haven't finished ME1. Tho, if it was $5.)
One of my pickups was the King's Bounty collection. Now here is a title that is a blast from the past. I remember playing the original back on college, along with games like Civilization, Star Control 2 and Wing Commander, it was a staple of my game playing at the time. Eventually, the game became "Heroes Of Might And Magic" and people forgot about King's Bounty (and also Might And Magic's origin as an Amiga RPG.
Well, apparently a Russian company bought the rights to the King's Bounty name and have produced a remake, and a lot of the old memories are coming back and it brings a smile to my face.
