back at home and all is well. the most heartbreaking thing was seeing all the people trying to leave and their cars overheating or running out of gas in the 105 degree heat index.....
what the fuck? once again I am plagued by the inadequecy of our gov. officials. where were the trucks with fuel??? where was some relief from the heat? how about dropping some water man!...
I left a watermelon in my car on Thurs in Austin for 1 1/2 hours. It was spitting juice and cooked on the inside. All I could think about were the babies and little ones, the elderly and infirm stuck on the highway with no way of cooling off. no a/c running because it would cause the car to overheat - use up what little fuel they had.
I wonder how many died on the road.
