Application!
OOC;
name - or alias or what have you, just something you prefer to go by.
age - adult themes ARE allowed, so if that's not your cup of tea or you are underage, please think twice before apping; yes, you can be rejected for being too young.
experience - a link or two to past games or character journals. no experience is necessary though.
e-mail - please list an e-mail address for us to reach you at.
IC;
nation - self-explanatory. the
name of the
country! name - full legal "human" name, no matter how embarrassing. for characters without names, including OCs, feel free to make one up.
nickname(s) - if any; include whether or not they like the nickname/who would use it.
age - because of that pesky adult content, all characters must be at least eighteen.
date of birth - our game is set in real time, present day.
hometown - where in the world is carmen san diego... your character doesn't have to be from the nation they represent, but it's recommended... for added spice.
occupation - a list of
locations is available, but just list where they work and their position, and if they're a student and what major (if any) - or unemployed.
residence - same as the above. the list isn't complete, but you're more than welcome to suggest places.
family - immediate family and/or important members of their family only. please make sure to consult with other players whether or not your characters have connections with each other.
first impression - what's the first thing someone would think upon seeing/meeting your character?
TEN TRUE FACTS AND A SECRET - okay, we didn't think it needed to be specifically mentioned at first, but we have something like an aversion to one-liner facts. avoid it as much as you possibly can - we're not looking for essays, but there is generally always a story behind one of those factoids, and we wanted to read that story, not a laundry list.
*NEWLY ADDED*
writing sample - just so we can have a better grasp on your writing style and your handle on your character, please provide a 200-250 word excerpt in the style of a regular thread; this means third person point-of-view. it can be about anything you like, but please write an situation that fits into this AU setting of ours, rather than original Hetalia canon.

writing sample Fill out the above application (yes, all of it) and reply to this post with a link.
- You may link us to a non-character journal for your application. However, do not post your application in individual comments as it makes a mess.
- We’ll get back to you ASAP to let you know if you're in the clear or if your app needs some work. Please do not contact us after you've submitted your application unless you have late questions to ask. There are only a few of us and a number of applications for us to review, so again, we will get back to you as soon as we can (sometimes, this can take days, so be patient). Thanks!

ATTENTION: We've noticed in a number of applications that people are having trouble with the concept of their characters as actual humans, or vice versa, in which the characters are human but somehow don't reflect enough about the nation. The point of your nation not being a nation-tan but retaining their characteristics is the basis for this game, and if you are having trouble doing this, the meaning is lost.
- For canon characters, please pay attention to your character's backgrounds, their personalities (if available), and stereotypes.
- For OCs, please do the appropriate research. You don't need to have origins in that country, but you should be able to find a wealth of information about your nation online - Wikipedia isn't 100% accurate, but the sources are excellent references.
We aren't looking for experts and we certainly aren't the authorities on Hetalia and history either, but we do expect you to know the basics of your character. Remember that this is an application for
lolocracy not an application for an eHarmony dating website. What we mean is, the application should reflect on your character's personality as a whole instead of just the good stuff about them.
