HARRY POTTER AND THE DEALTHY HALLOWS:
Quite possibly the most incredible book I've ever read. On it's own it probably wouldn't be, but in corrolation with the series, and in tying up loose ends, it is absolutely phenominal. It was horribly sad, but at the same time "all was well" so i was ecstatic. Hermione and Ron man, that was my main concern, because I love them so. :-) In a recent interview she referred to Hermione as "Ron's wife" instead of "Hermione" and it made me smile a lot.
I cried at several points in the book. I should've known when Dudley made me get misty-eyed that I was in trouble.Dobby broke my heart. Chapter thirty-four with the ghosts of his parents, Lupin and Sirius absolutely shattered it to pieces. And in between there was, of course, Lupin, Tonks and Fred. Fred, man....Fred.
Molly Weasley fighting Bellatrix Lestrange and kickin her ass was absolutely fuckin' brilliant. J.K. and her mom-power dude, it's so great. Narcissa betraying Voldemort for the protection of her son was absolutely unexpected and positively wonderful
Ron's triumphant return was equally awesome. The Horcrux turning into Hermione and Harry and proceeding to chastise him, and then kiss, and how enraged he was by it was so great. Them getting together was PERFECT. As soon as he started talking about getting the House Elves out I was like "THIS IS IT! HERE IT COMES!" and it did not disappoint. I am, however, anxious to see how they'll do it in the movies, as they negated S.P.E.W. entirely, thus negating why its so brilliant that they kiss at that particular moment. Weasley Is Our King, man.
I didn't expect there to be anything other than the Horcruxes to be dealt with in this book, thats why what the Deathly Hallows actually were was such a shock---they were fuckin' sweet too. Furthermore, I loved that the reason Volemort would never possess them all/even know about them is because he's so evil broken that theres no innocense or childishness left in him to even consider reading or believeing a child's tale.
My only problem is that when I think "Hugo and Rose" I think Hugo Weaving and Rose from Titanic, which is problematic lol
