ok pregnancy isn't a disease...so what exactly needs to be cured? sexually transmitted disease has rocketed with sex "education" and birth control, which isn't even 100% guaranteed anyway
Why do you think it's not? LJ is using their soapbox to advocate for something many people seem to be horrific. I think it's ok if people register their displeasure.
And I, in turn, will give a bit extra to my local crisis pregnancy center. You know, the people who don't have blood on their hands, and don't have a longstanding record of deliberately covering up multiple cases of statutory rape. Cheers to you! :-)

The ones who claim to offer assistance to women in need but instead browbeat them into one particular option instead of offering them all of the legal options available to them?
OK, you do that, and realize that they're coercive, cultish, judgmental snobs who don't give a damn about the women they serve or their children as long as nobody gets an abortion.

pp does many, many other things besides abortions. it is important for women to have access to affordable healthcare, and pp does that.
