It's Been a Long Time, Hasn't It?
Hello everyone, and when I say, "Long time no see!" I truly mean it!
First of all, I want to apologize for my absence. When my father died last year I had no idea I would be away for such an extended period. The days since I received that phone call have been almost unbearable, but on the bright side, I'm feeling stronger and can handle more work and more responsibilities again.
Back in the summer of 2009, I worked hard to send as many packages as I could before I left for America. The rest of the doujinshi and random goodies I packed into a large box and shipped to my father's house, thinking I'd finish up the remaining orders and requests. But I was a lot busier with my dad's affairs than I'd anticipated, and I sent the box back to my Japanese address.
There are a few people who are still waiting for their doujinshi and I need to issue refunds in certain cases, especially for Toranoana and other store orders that I wasn't around to pick up.
I've had two computers die on me in the last three months, and I'm searching my CD archives and trying to find the last backups of my documentation. It'll take me a little while to process everyone's long-awaited requests, but I'm fairly confident I can do these in the next few weeks. A few people have sent me messages in the interim and I'll be trying to resolve those first.
As for the future..I'm unsure if I'll continue going to doujinshi conventions or accepting requests. I want to make sure everyone gets their doujinshi or a refund if needed and then take life from there.
Thanks again for all of your kind words. My father was such an amazing man and it hurts like hell that he's gone. But he also taught me that when the time was right I'd do the right thing. And it feels good to be talking to all of you again, even though my life has changed so drastically.
