beta sign ups: free agent betas
authors who already have at least one beta, please remember to create a thread per the instructions at the pledged beta sign-ups and send your betareaders there to sign up!
if you have not agreed to betaread for a specific writer, and would like to be matched up with a writer based on fandom (and necessity), then please sign up in this post.
if you're signing up as both a pledged beta and a free agent beta, please sign up in both this post and in pledged beta sign-ups.
It's a little complicated, but hyper-organization now makes your mods' lives easier come the end of the challenge. so we really appreciate you guys reading through everything and signing up in all the right places, because everyone has been absolutely fantastic about all of that. you guys are awesome!
this is how it's going to (hopefully) work:
- "free agent beta: [your username]" as the title of your comment
- in the body of the comment:
your username:
your email address: (NOT a lj.com address)
all of the following that apply to your beta style: spelling, grammar, story tone, in-character dialogue, in-character actions/plot, continuity with canon, continuity within the story, -isms (weeding Americanisms out of stories in British fandoms, etc.), structure, readability
fandoms that you are comfortable betareading for: you may want to check the list of fandoms we need free agent betas for down at the bottom of the post. (a full list of fandoms is in the cheerleader sign-up post, if you're curious.)
- "free agent beta: [your username]" as the title of your comment
