Wait, what....?

For its part, DC's Legends of Tomorrow has been described as a superhero team-up that stars The Flash's Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/Heatwave) and Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein/one half of Firestorm). Also signed on are Arrow's Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/the Atom and Caity Lotz, whose Arrow character ( Read more... )

>I haven't watched The Flash, despite Dominic, because I don't really like superhero/comics stuff that much. And it's everywhere.

I actually watch quite a bit of comic book stuff shows at least initially but yes, it's insane there's just so much of it now. I stay away from most of the Marvel stuff which at least halves it, though I did check out the Daredevil show on netflix, Vincent D'Onfrio was quite good as the main badguy. I watched the beginning of Arrow but they imo ruined everything to do with Black Canary (who is a great character in the comics) so I gave it up. I was never much attached to the Flash in the comics, so before hearing this news I only watched the Wentworth episode (btw, he looked better than I remembered, seems being out and proud is doing him good. Isn't Brandon Routh also out? And now both of them are gonna be in this new show?).

Dom's character didn't make a ton of sense for me. Like on one hand he's supposed to be this insanely over the top scenery chewing psychopath who just wants to burn everything but then suddenly he'll snap into sanity for a couple of lines and "talk normal". It's very weird. I have a hard time picturing how this new show would even work, but maybe that's at least 50% that I just can't picture a CW show anymore with mostly grown ups as main characters.

What do I watch these days, honestly a lot less, I rather enjoyed Empire, the show about the RNB mogul. I watched post apocalyptic show about Angels, Dominion and Tyrant last summer. I watch Big Band Theory and Law and Order SVU. I watched most episodes of Reign on the CW because a friend liked it, but it is fairly terrible and they got rid of the one guy I actually liked. I feel like one of these days I'll have to start watching either Game of Thrones or House of Cards or Breaking Bad because you know, office peer pressure ;) Do you have an show reccomendations?

About X-Files, I rather liked the horror episodes, like Tooms, or the town where people had turned to cannibalism. It's kinda fun to realize in retrospect just how many really talented people got their start on the X-Files or at least were in an episode.

What am I up to. Not much really. Started working for a big company that pays much better. I guess my "fannish energy" is currently being consumed by video games (as in what kind of news I follow), it's just kind of an interesting situation where the technology is at a point where the kind of games that were big and impressive when I was young can now be done on crowdfunding budget. I had a split second where I wondered whether it would be interesting make a fanfiction visual novel/choose your own adventure game, like if you could use screencaptures from a show to create a fictional story, maybe in a dating sim kind of way where the fans of couple A can get A/B together and the fans of couple C and get A/C together. Then I remembered I don't have any actual writing talent XD Still, maybe I'll make a mock up one day, just as coding practice.

I hadn't even heard that Brandon Routh might be gay. Wenthworth was no surprise-- he pinged my gaydar like no other, from day one. I have no idea why.

I've stalled out in 2 GoT (the gratuitous T&A/soft-core porn really got to me), and we haven't yet managed to start House of Cards. Might give Breaking Bad a try at some point. We thought we were going to watch that, but my husband was going through cancer treatment (since fully recovered) when the disc arrived, and he was not remotely in the mood.

Despite the grossness/weirdness, I've liked Hannibal-- the art direction is incredible, and I like the cast. Dexter was great, despite my concerns about the subject matter, and I got very into Justified.

The Blacklist is good, and Sleepy Hollow is a guilty pleasure. :)

Still in Austria? I'm assuming you didn't need to move for any reason.
