Wait, what....?

For its part, DC's Legends of Tomorrow has been described as a superhero team-up that stars The Flash's Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/Heatwave) and Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein/one half of Firestorm). Also signed on are Arrow's Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/the Atom and Caity Lotz, whose Arrow character Sara Lance/Canary died earlier this season. Ciara Renee (Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl), Franz Drameh (Jay Jackson) and Arthur Darvill round out the cast.

I don't really follow tv news much anymore, so this is the first time I heard about this. What a weird feeling. I actually check out a lot of the superhero shows at least a little bit (the Daredevil one, Gotham, Flash), at least out of curiosity.

It would be so weird to see Purcell and Miller in a scene again, it was definitely weird to read about this. I dunno, during Prison Break, somehow I always kind of wondered if they didn't like each other much. It seems like they did some minimal promotion together when the show started but then mostly seemed to stay clear of each other.

Of course, just because it says so here, who knows if it will even be made, if it will go series, if the cast lineup will stay the same. Also, no offense, aren't both of them a bit... well, old for this? I guess I'm just so used to these comic book shows to be filled mostly with young unknown whippersnappers.

Speaking of mindfucks/blasts from the pasts. I feel like my mind is still broken from reading that they want to do new episodes of The X-Files. Why? How? I can't even ...

I guess for me the problem is that I always hated the mythology episodes (mostly because I felt early on that they were just bullshitting/making stuff up as they got along/painting themselves into corners that they couldn't get out of) and preferred the monster of the week standalones, and yet, since they went ahead with all the mythology stuff, I also can't imagine how they would ever do an episode that is *not* about the mythology stuff and still expect it to believable that in a world where all the alien stuff is true anybody would even care about some monster of the week, that it would ever not seem like a waste of the time of our heroes.

Always found it a pity that there seemed to be no true successors to the X-Files. Then again, looking at the world I wonder if today one couldn't do a full time show about investigating different conspiracies and you wouldn't even need a lick of supernatural to fill your screentime.

wentworth miller, wtf, dominic purcell, the x-files, prison break, blast from the past
