Things have been really crazy lately. The week before, I had an exam Wednesday night, then an exam immediately following on Thursday morning, followed by a paper due Thursday night. Then, Monday I had my research proposal for Research in Cognitive Psychology due. I feel that this would be a good time to repeat just how much I hate research. I had to come up with my own experiment all on my own. I will find out if it's any good this Monday. Pending approval, I have to conduct this experiment with 40 people. I don't want to do this. I really, really, really hate research.
And this is why I have decided that choosing to major in Psychology was a ridiculous idea. I'm just doing a 4 year major, so as to avoid the thesis that is required of an Honours Specialization. Death before thesis, I say! Thankfully, I'm done all my psychology courses after this year (assuming, of course, no failures and no dropping), so next year I'm going to work on my minor. I may due a general sociology minor, but I think I'm going to do criminology. Of course, I'm also interested in looking at the requirement for an English minor, but I don't know if you can combine faculties like that. I guess we'll see.
Anyway, I also had an exam this Thursday, which I don't think went badly, but I'm not sure exactly how well I did. There were some questions that should have been straight forward, but none of the answers were the exactly right answer, so I had to use process of elimination to find the answer that was least wrong. I hate exams like that.
I elected to skip my Thursday night class and instead drove to Waterloo to pick up my sister. So she came along with Sybil and I on our shopping excursion yesterday. Six hours of shopping, it was most fun. Of course, my credit card is completely maxed out now, even though I didn't really buy all that much. And really, they were all necessities: two pairs of jeans (I only have one other!), a pair of black heels (every girl should own a pair), two hair clips (I broke all my other ones), a sweater (for my cousin's confirmation this Sunday), and flip flops (for Cuba). So really, very necessary.
And Katie gave me access to her music files the other day, and I went crazy and downloaded over 100 songs. I am really, really, really enjoying them.
And today is my grandfather's 75th birthday. (HAPPY 75TH BIRTHDAY, DEDO!) And my parents and brother have driven down to celebrate. And my grandmother just called to let me know that they just arrived, so I'm going to head over now and party with them!
