I finished my reticule and 1830s hairpiece!

Here's the reticule. This morning, I added trim to the seams, attached the tassel, bound the top with ribbon, and slid ribbon ties through the casing. By the way, for future reference, a three-sided reticule is not good at holding large phones. As soon as I stick my phone in it, it looks all wonky.

I decided to be stupid and stay up way too late to work on the wig. I haven't tried it on yet (and I seriously don't know how I'm going to get this monstrosity to stay on my head), but assuming it fits, all it needs now is powdering and copious amounts of hairspray.

I drove all over today in order to locate everything I needed to make the court gown wig. Geez, this wig is expensive! But I got all the pieces (Home Depot, Sally Beauty - though most of that purchase was for other looks - another hair piece store, and Joanns). The burgundy petticoat just needs a hem and to have the ruffle sewn on. I still need to figure out how to make a closure on my ribbon belt. I also have an idea of how I want to decorate my hat, and how I want to do my hair.
