Broadchurch
I started watching Broadchurch when it began airing on BBC America two weeks ago. Mainly out of curiousity ‘cause Doctor Who's David Tennant and Arthur Darvill were in it.
But after watching the 1st episode, I was hooked on the show itself and having them in it was just an added bonus!
After 2 episodes, I couldn’t wait to see the rest, and I was afraid I’d get spoiled about who the murderer was, so I looked for it elsewhere online….
And so I found it, and watched all of the next six episodes yesterday. Great show! Fantastic acting, writing and cinematography. Kept me guessing until the end, and the finale left me gutted with tears in my eyes.
Along the way„ I discovered there were several other actors from other fandoms in it too:
David Bradley (Filtch in Harry Potter, Walder Frey in Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, Sarah Jane Adventures)
Olivia Colman (Doctor Who)
Susan Brown (Torchwood, Septa Mordane in Game of Thrones)
Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm in Game of Thrones)
I loved the show, but I’m not sure I want to see a S2 of Broadchurch (which I guess they’re already making). Seems like the end of the mystery was the end of the story.
