Wanted new phone for a while, and now mine is dying so it's urgent.
I want an Android phone, up to 70mm wide (ideally 65ish), long battery life, fast enough to cope with some modern apps but rarely watch videos.
Up to about £180.
Was thinking of the HTC Desire 530, but apparently that has a nano SIM so I'd have to replace the micro-sim from the sim-only contract I'm on, or get a new contract completely. Three would replace the sim but don't sell phones without contracts. Other sellers won't replace the SIM. Other options are the Samsung J5 which has mixed reviews like the above, or there's allegedly a newer Samsung A3 coming out this week with Android Marshmallow for about £160, but I really want to just buy a phone tomorrow! And I don't trust Carphone Warehouse in the slightest, but every other phone shop just has staff trying to sell contracts and read you the labels...
Enough ranting - do all new phones only take nano sims, and does this mean you essentially have to get them on a new contract? And is there any phone shop that actually have staff who know what they are selling (Three do, so I went back to them, but apparently they don't sell phones by themselves...)
Gah. I want to spend some money here!
