So, my dad got a para-plane, right?
I don't know if you know what one of those is; but, it's basically a 3 wheeled go-kart hooked up to a giant fan and a parachute. Sounds cool, huh? Well, my dad got one. No, he didn't tell my mom, but we'll get back to that later. This guy in Paris had a para-plane, but he wanted to get a new one. So, he offered my dad his old one. Dad couldn't quite get the funds right then(aka, mom wouldn't let him have the money) so, the guy strikes a deal with dad. The guy needed room in his garage for the new para-plane, so he offered to let my dad keep the other one in our garage....Dad agrees, dad doesn't tell mom.
So, here we are a few weeks later. Dad lets all of us in on the secret, because he's proud of his new toy; but, we can't tell mom...she might go all....Mom on him, and stuff. Today, I got a call from my brother, Andy. The conversation went something like this...."So, you know dad got one of those para-plane things, right?"
Me: "Uh, yeah...?"
Andy:"So, you know, he, like...flies it and stuff, right?"
Me: "Uh, yeah..?"
Andy: "So, did you here that he landed it on someones house?"
Me: "Oh God! Is the house all right?"
I say this because, I know my dad's a rugged kindof guy who could survive crashing through a house...I've seen him fall through stuff like that....that, and my brother said landed, and not Crashed...so, I wasnt worried. Anyway,
Andy: "Yeah, I called dad when someone told me they saw it in the newspaper."
Me:"What'd he say?"
The rest of the story, I'm not clear on yet. Evidently, mom found out and hell probably broke out a bit. Mostly, Andy called dad, and dad said something like "I cant talk about it on the phone right now." Which means, "this story's gonna be way better in person."
