I don't care for Bendis as a superhero comic writer. I don't care much for the Avengers outside of the Silver Age/Early Bronze Age. I did really enjoy the Ultimates however

When I was younger, we used to always get those packs of comics for Christmas out of whatever catalog my parents ordered from. There was always at least one West Coast Avengers in the mix. I remember liking that team a bit better than the regular Avengers at the time. They just seemed more colorful and unique than the standard team.
