It made sense to me.

Got home from work this morning.

Turn around in the hallway and don't see haligen. She was hiding in the bathroom. I called out her name and she says "Nope, I AM A STRANNNNGERRRR!" and walks out of said bathroom.

So I sing the line from that old country music song. "There's a Stranger in My House..." Then I stop to make the comment "Wasn't that guy blind?"

She replies, "Who?"

I then say, "You know that guy, who sang that song. Maybe he just wore really big sunglasses all the time so I just thought he was blind. What the hell was his name?"

"How the hell should I know his name?", She answers back.

To which I smartly retort, "You've lived in Tennessee almost all your life. Everyone from Tennessee knows everything about country music."

Of course her reply is, "No we dont."

I just say, "That is like everyone from Kentucky knows all about Bluegrass Music."

Then that cartoon lightbulb goes off in my noggin. "You have been to Loretta Lynn's house before, right?"

She answers reluctantly... "Yeah."

"And you have met Johnny Cash before right??", I ask so coyly, knowing the answer already...

"Yes..", she confirms.

"There you go, you are from Tennessee and you have had close up personal knowledge of country music people. Therefore you know all about country music!", I proudly proclaim.

She then smacked me with a pillow and laughed at me.

Before I head to bed, I got back to the point at hand, "I just must think that guy is blind cause he is always wearing glasses, but he probably isn't. There must be some reason I think that." I paused and then stated, "It just always struck me as strange that he would sing the line 'Somebody here I can't see'. Cause of course he can't see anybody anyway. So why is it so special that he can't see them?"

She then was laughing at me pretty good by then and before I dozed off I told her...

"You know this is so going to end up being a Livejournal post, right?"

(edit: fyi. I was right, that country music singer is Ronnie Milsap and he is blind! How the fuck do I remember that?)
