Jack Vance is one of the best authors of all time, but his influence is not so obvious in D&D, I think. Vance did invent the Grue though.

With the Grey Mouser series is on there, there should be a random roll rape table and Monstrous Manual entry for Goreans (armed with cat-o-nines and leather armour of course). grey Mouser wenches can save vs. humiliation to only take half damage from piercing attacks.
