This is the RX-78-2 Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam. Look at him. So Majestic. So Heroic. So Noble. He is the first badass Mecha I fell in love with. Is he not totally badass? Of course he is.
I'm on my tree, taking my runes. That's Oðinn One-Eye, the Allfather, hanging on Ygdrassil, the World Tree. He hung there for nine nights, a sacrifice to himself, to gain the knowledge of the Runes. It's a totally badass story I need to tell you all some time.
Ah, Arthas the Virile. Here is a story I can tell you, because it is quick. So, back in my second year of University, there was a corner booth in the Cafeteria that the nerds would sit at and be nerdy and loud and have a hell of a time. And there were a lot of us. So much so that the Brock Press, our newspaper, called for the creation of a squad of Ninjas to attack the Nerd Booth and slay their leader, the great bearded man known only as Arthas the Virile. Which, as I'm sure you can figure, was a reference to me. So the Ninjas came, and there was an epic battle. In the end, though, good old Viking ingenuity won out over Ninja cunning and the Nerd Booth stood proudly and undefeated for years to come. Emily (wenchfaery) made me this as a commemoration of the epic battle.
That's Sabin Rene Figaro, brother of King Edgar of Figaro, and a quote from my favourite poem, Invictus by William Ernest Henley. Wiki search it, it's totally awesome. Anyway, Natasha (zandrellia) made this for me a while ago, because Sabin needed more than one icon for and she's awesome like that. But, yeah, it's Sabin, and he's badass, and the poem is also badass, and there you go.
Ah, Edgar. My friend Katie (bustix2000/bustix_icons) made this for me for Edgar's RP journal. Now that I've hit the proverbial brick wall for RPing with him, though, I've decided to borrow it. You know how Ed can be - sure, he seems like he's a bit of a flake, but he is unbreakable when pushed. I try and be like that. Unbreakable, I mean.
This is, quite possibly, the best way of telling some one you love them without going all mushy on them and losing your cool. And, if they're a Star Wars geek, they know how much you mean it when you say it. Plus, it's Han Solo and he's totally awesome.
