So, for those who don't know... probably most of you... John Davis moved out without telling anyone just over two months ago. Mom was at work, and I was asleep. Mom became so upset she was physically ill over it (which has happened to her before at times of high-stress). She dropped 15 pounds in the first couple of weeks, and she was thin to begin with. After a couple of days, she starting getting cards from John in the mail saying he missed her and wished she was with him, blah blah blah. Eventually one of the cards had a return address on it from Alpine, TX (about 600 miles west in the middle of absolute nowhere). They started talking on the phone, and he kept telling her he wanted her to move out there with him, and she was seriously considering it. She even visited him one weekend. She was still sick over it but now believed there was hope. She mailed him his cell phone and they were talking every day. Then a couple of weeks ago he yelled at her and told her not to call him anymore, for no reason that was apparent to us.

Mom was crushed, but with her entire family telling her she needed to move on, she was eventually eating almost normally again.

However, on the day before Thanksgiving, the selfish prick called her to tell her he was filing for divorce and all kinds of other bullshit about how SHE owed HIM something. And Mom figured out what the change was--he was seeing another woman. He was even talking to her with the cell phone that my mother pays for. Of course, he didn't tell her this, but mom checked the phone records online because all of our cell phones are under her name. Then Mom found the girl's name online, and listened to John's voicemail and heard a message from her. So we convinced Mom to have his phone turned off immediately. She's still once again been throwing up for days despite the fact that she doesn't actually eat anything. But we've finally gotten her to take his name off of everything and stop paying for his car insurance.

I'm so fucking angry I can't even describe it to you. I want to drive to Alpine and punch him in the face. I want to rip his fucking head off. I can think of so many ways I would like to hurt him and so many things I want to tell him. Like what a spineless sack of shit he is. But, he's Catholic, so at least I know he's gonna burn in hell, right? I mean, don't they frown on this kind of thing? And he's done before to the mothers of his children. I feel sorry for the woman he's seeing now, really, because she probably has no idea what's coming.

On a happier note, Thanksgiving:
Evan came to town and baked a pie, we somehow managed to get mom to dress the turkey the night before, and everything came out good. My aunt, uncle, and cousin came in from Dallas, which was really good. Aunt Suz has been dying to meet Evan, and Uncle Craig is from Lafayette, so he and Evan talked about Louisiana things and something about tigers and football. Then they stayed with Mom when Heather, Evan, and I went to our second Thanksgiving with Dad's side. Evan was forced to meet more of my family, which I'm sure is good for him in some way :) My uncle on that side that lives elsewhere came to town with his wife and three rugrats, so the whole family was there. Another uncle was teaching their oldest (who's 8) how to play WoW.
Then we came back home and played games with Mom and everyone here. The power went out and then we played games by candlelight which made me miss the octet a bit.

Friday night Grandpa Bruce (Dad's dad) took the entire gang out to eat, and invited Mom. She has known them all since she was 13, so my uncles and grandpa still consider her family. In fact, the only person that ever has a problem with Mom is my stepmother. Maybe she feels threatened, I don't know. Anyway, There was about 20 of us taking over an entire room at this Mexican joint, and it was a lot of fun. The younger two rugrats ran around like wild the entire time, and the 8 year old bombarded Evan with WoW questions the entire second half of dinner, it was pretty hilarious to me and Uncle Terry (the kid's dad). Grandpa and Evan talked about math things that I didn't understand. My cousin Annie brought her new boyfriend so everyone had someone new to harass besides Evan, which was good. Is anyone still reading this? Maybe I should have put the happy bit at the beginning of the post... oh well, whatever. This is long enough... too long really... so I'll stop now.
