And time stood still...

It's been a while, so here's a little update on the past month.

I've finally gotten some impetus in the home rebuilding project. As some of you may or may not know (and others may not or may) I have been slowly  redecorating my living environment. I have more space since we got rid of two housemates. Of course this project proceeded in standard fashion and has not gone all that quick...Well recently I have accelerated the pace. Much junk has been thrown out. Old beds, desks, papers, books and other assorted junk have made it to the dump at long last. Unfortunately IKEA now pwns me. Ah wel, this why we work..to buy stuff at IKEA. This has been a long time coming and we aren't done yet. There is still the matter of laying a floor and assembling the furniture. Then everything has to be put back in place. All this and I anticipate buying a house somewhere within the next 2 years so I'll even have to do it all again.

Of course this isn't all that's kept me busy. For those who haven't guessed yet, her name is Rebecca and she is from Denmark. I met her at the airport in Rekjavik while the whole airport was shutdown supposedly due to bad weather conditions (something with rain not supposed to be flying horizontally). I am sitting calmly in a large round window reading my book. I look up and there is a girl sitting on the floor, looking at me. She is smiling ever so sweetly. Of course she is gone before I can ask her to join me for breakfast. Later I see her again, so this time I grab my chance. She had all ready gone for some food (that's where she went), but she would keep me company while I ate. We kept each other company until they got the rain falling in the right direction again.

I have to say Iceland Air is the most awesome airline in the world! Who else would shut down a whole airport just so that two wandering spirits could meet? If anyone has ever received better service than this, I will eat my hat! (well, no, I won't. I love my hat and I need it prevent brain freeze and cold ear syndrome).

There are of course some people who might think that this is a lousy story since it just ends with us parting at the airport. They would of course be right. That is, they would be right if it did end there....
