Well lackies
I write to you from Germany,
forgive the inevitable wierd words to come I am on a german keyboard and am too busz tzping to notice which kezs have been moved...
Saw literallz everz town in Zeeland and all the islands with Taco,
Zeeland, Utrecht, Friesland are actually surprisingly different,
will leave details later,
went everzwhere in harlem
had my bike stolen... even though it was locked and in a public place
slept in a real bed for the first time in many months,
had herring ERK::: not a seafood man I am,
beer in Holland good
I have now traced the footsteps of my ancestors as far as they can be, I have lived and taken service in these locations, I now know my roots in a way that makes me a better person for it.
the hand of God and History can be felt in all these places, tiny villages with huge churches,
towns that survived flooding only by manually holding floodplanks against the north sea (1953)
seeing the farms and hearing the life stories of family members written down many years ago, it all adds to a sense of self I have been developing while in Scotland.
It has been good
and Taco seriously rocks, he is funny, likes historz and despite being a liberal not dogmatic,
his wife was nice too and they were verz kind putting me up for two nights no less while they were very busy verz much like them:
saw the most angellic women Ive ever had the honour nay the blessing to lay eyes on in Arnhem today,
briefly I was gifted with this vision, then she boarded a train and was off with a creaking steel sound.. Normally dont remark on these things but my friends what I saw today was no mere mortal no she was a demigoddess or some sort of Venus perhaps Frejya holland being the location and all.
Germany wasnt that impressive at first,
but I actually love it after arriving in Cologne,
the catherdral is the most awe inspiring medieval building Ive seen,
the food is better than in Holland but not as good as in italy, the beer is great, and the shoppingy goodness Im glad I dont have a gf here with me Id be bankraupt in seconds,
the biggest shopping citz in Europe by far, the stuff Ive seen in Chicago, New York, London, Italy, and even Holland Pale in contrast..
went to a few towns, and local muesums as well,
not much history here building wise seeing as it was reduced to rubble 60 years ago.. but the church was spared...
saw much of Holland off the beaten path, and really came to like Zeeland and Barneveld,
Anyways off soonish the call of the pub and hotel room calls
