In Amsterdam still,
seeing Utrecht, the Hague, Harlem etc tomorrow with Taco Han,
went to the market today, hung out there for a few hours, a bit of a letdown, no antiques of the pokey variety that I would want... The few blades they had there were rubbish...
on the way back offered everything under the sun, its sad to see the streets of a trade capital once the greatest in Europe clogged with refuse dealers and what not, only china town seems to be semi clean *Cough triads *cough
Walked through the red light district, women displayed like pieces of meat in red windows, just standing there, many of them well over a hundred, and this was in the early morning... Something about that just boils my blood,
I understand its legal, its a good means of income, and its the Johns who are trash but something about the whole ordeal makes me angry beyond belief.
The real world stinks doesn't it children,
my childhood heros never had to deal with those issues,
perhaps I'm still too 15th century in outlook,
but compare things like this and social ills that plague us and tell us its any better today than ever before....

Met a kewl ex-army guy here,
starting to get used to the area and don't feel like a tourist,
looking forward to seeing the countryside and other cities tomorrow maybe it will leave me with a better impression of the land of my ancestors...
Bought my mom a wonderful cameo silver ring from the 19th century today, took alot of bartering ALOT but got him down to less than 50% of his asking price, still broke the bank a bit but my moms going to love it, and frankly less money for food isn't a bad thing...
Talking about food, missing italys food but like Amsterdam more as a city, cleaner (Even with forementioned things), and the people are nicer for the most part.
But yeah I need to buy a belt I've lost about 4 or 5 inches of me waist line (doesn't seem that much) and I'm going to cut out my cola intake (like 6 litres a day) and switch to water. By the end of summer I might be confident enough to get out in the dating scene again, Scotland was good for me had a lot fo people who really cared for me and it translated to some self love as well which is good.
Things are looking up in that regard,
though the Uni thing frightens me, and I miss my friends and the whole 3rd floor westwing in geddes badly very badly...
Going to see about making it down to germany for a day or two later in the week,
haven't been able to get ahold of some family..... But we'll see I still have a number of days
and remember biznitchs tomorrow is the 6th of June
