the song selection wasn't as good, but their new stuff is bad ass. the main difference here was the crowd. zao themselves didn't put on any worse of a show than before (besides not playing a smany old classics).

for everyone that says zao is horrible, their opinion is worthless anyway.

i must say, in this situation, i think the scarlet guys were prolly the ones in the wrong, not the scenesters. i actually thought it was funny they were flipping the band off for stealing, and was really hoping to see a crowd vs. band fight. it would be a first for me!

i can't wait for zao's new cd.

true it was funny, and also wrong to steal things, but i thing the main thing was a case of ego vs. ego. The singer of scarlet (which had a big ego), had his ego threatend by that kid calling him out in front of all those kids at his show, so he defended himself, probably in the most immature way possible yes, but, he had the mic and the stage, the other guys didnt. I was just talking about how everything resorts to fighting. The singer was just egging them on becuase he knew those dudes are too stupid to do anything else besides stand there and say eff you over and over again, boo hoo. Both handled it stupidly, but all those morons know how to do is fight when they have a problem. If they really wanted to hit the band where it hurts, go to their pocket. Make um pay you back the cost of all that stuff that they stole, ide fork up 20 bux for some old spice, a tooth brush, and some whack ace weed that they bought from pumpkin escobar, get you high ha ha. it was idiocy run a muck i tell ya

dude, I can agree with all that you said but..... blind_by_heart May 20 2004, 06:03:35 UTC
the thing about the singer from scarlet. Point blank, the guy is childish. Stealing from someone who opens their home up to you is ridiculous. There was no money to be gotten back. Even in the event that something would have been said about handing over some fundage, nothing would come of it. The kids disrespected the band for disrespecting them. Though, I can't completely agree with everything because I actually like Scarlet, the fact that they(the band) behaved like little kids when staying at someone's house did need to be talked about.

i strongly agree, but my point was, things can always be handled differently. All of those guys first instinct is to hit, like elementary school kids, they arent mature enough to think of anything else to do. Theres no way that dude would have got up in Scarlet's singers face if he was all by himself at that concert without the protection of having 10 of his boys there. If he was trying to show off how tough he was, he would have walked up to that dude after the show, where there was no 6 foot barricade separating him from the singer. I think it was a case of his ego being damaged ha ha, he got made fun of and taunted from the stage where everyone could see and hear it. I could care less either way, the whole thing was retarded. if scarlet didnt want trouble, they shouldnt rip stuff off ha, especially in houston.
