Why Did It Have To Be You
Chapter 15: Who's He Going To Choose?

Super Junior was so tired when they arrived at their dorm.

They were completely exhausted after all their activities for the day.

“I don’t want to eat dinner anymore. I just want to sleep.” Ryeowook said, walking lazily to the couch.

As soon as he lied down, he got one of the throw pillows and cuddled it.

“I couldn’t agree more.” Sung Min said, sitting down on the “Lazy Boy” recliner.

As usual, though he was tired, Kyu Hyun was on the computer.

Yesung even reprimanded him for not feeling exhausted at all.

Instead of listening to his hyung, Kyu Hyun just played and played.

While Ryeowook and Sung Min were trying to take some rest and Yesung was trying to reprimand Kyu Hyun, Dong Hae and Eun Hyuk were at the kitchen.

No, they weren’t cooking. Everyone knew they were bad at that.

Eun Hyuk was preparing coffee while Dong Hae was sitting down on the kitchen counter, watching him.

“Lee Dong Hae, you really have nothing to do, don’t you?” Eun Hyuk asked, turning on the coffee maker.

“Why don’t you text your girlfriend or something?” He added.

Dong Hae breathed heavily.

“Anchovy, I really don’t know what’s been happening with Sica lately.” Dong Hae said, getting off the counter and switching to the chair.

“She hasn’t been texting me as much lately.” He added, taking a glimpse at his White Blackberry.

Eun Hyuk just looked at Dong Hae.

“Do you know how busy SNSD has been? Maybe she doesn’t have time to text you because of several practices for their Japanese promotions.” Eun Hyuk said.

Yes. Dong Hae has thought of that too. But, it’s so unlike her not to text him at all.

“How often does she text you, normally?” Eun Hyuk asked, sitting in front of Dong Hae.

“I don’t know. We text each other a lot.” Dong Hae answered.

Eun Hyuk hit his forehead.

“You must be so in love with each other.” He stated.

Usually, this’d make Dong Hae smile.

But, right now, he just wasn’t in the mood to reminisce his sweet memories with Jessica.

He was starting to get worried.

“What if..” Dong Hae trailed off.

Eun Hyuk thought of his thoughts immediately.

“.. She’s been thinking of another person lately? Pffft.. Dong Hae, we all know she’s over Jay. Stop being so paranoid.” Eun Hyuk said as he stood up and got his cup of coffee.

Is Eun Hyuk right? Has Dong Hae been just so paranoid lately?

“Can you blame for thinking of that? The way she described her relationship with Jaebeom before, was pretty.. intense.” Dong Hae said.

He remembered that day when, as boyfriend and girlfriend, they decided to not keep secrets from one another.

Dong Hae told his piece and Jessica did.

Knowing that Jessica had once dated an idol before, Dong Hae was hurt.

But, past is past, right?

“You know what you need, Dong Hae. A BREAK. Yeah, that’s what you need.” Eun Hyuk said patting his best friend’s back.

Dong Hae just slumped in reply.

“Yobosaeyo?” Lee Teuk said as he entered the kitchen.
Hee Chul had called him for some reason.

“What do you mean when you say ‘something’s not right’?” Lee Teuk asked.

The moment he heard “Yoona” and “something’s not right”, he was just curious of what was happening on set Family Outing 2, right now.

As Teukie listened to Hee Chul talk on the phone, he sat in front of the slumping Dong Hae.

The Dong Hae who was miserable right now because his girlfriend hasn’t been in contact with him for weeks.

“What? Are you sure about that?” Lee Teuk sort of raised his voice. What Hee Chul just said was kind of shocking.

Hearing his hyung raise his voice a little bit, Dong Hae looked up at him.

As soon as Lee Teuk felt Dong Hae’s eyes on him, he just put his (Dong Hae’s) head back down.

Obviously, Hae didn’t care of what his hyungs were talking about on the phone.

He was too tired and miserable to even be himself.

“Okay.. I’ll try to do something about it. Thanks for the info, Hee Chul.” Lee Teuk said as he closed the phone.

The moment he ended his phone conversation with Hee Chul, he stared at Dong Hae, who was back to his old position, slumping.

“Yoona getting close to Taecyeon? Oh, hell no.” Teukie thought.

He knew he just had to do something.

“Dong Hae, have you texted Yoona these past few days?” Lee Teuk asked.

“Uh, no.. Why?” Dong Hae sat back up.

“I heard that she’s been wanting to play some bowling lately.” Lee Teuk lied.

Bowling was the only thing he was thinking of right now.

“Bowling? Again?” Dong Hae finally smiled.

He remembered that time when he, Eun Hyuk, Lee Teuk, Taeyeon and Yoona played that game.

Gosh.. No offence, but Yoona really sucked at playing it.

Seeing that they were losing already, Dong Hae thought of teaching her “hands on”.

Though she was sort of hesitant at first, she finally gave in to “learning”.

When their bodies met, it was a whole different story.

Dong Hae and Yoona were getting very distracted, but they decided not to show it.

Though they lost during that bowling game, the both of them knew that after that day, nothing was ever going to be the same between them.

“Ya, Dong Hae. Are you listening to me?” Lee Teuk said, snapping his fingers in front of a lost Dong Hae.

Hae immediately shook his head and lent his ears back to Lee Teuk.

“So, I’m thinking.. Why don’t we go bowling with them again?” Lee Teuk said.

“Go bowling with who?” Dong Hae asked.

“Well, I was thinking of the same set as the last time, but, if the other members want to come, it’s okay with me.” Lee Teuk said.

“So, are you in?” He asked.

“Of course I am.” Dong Hae smiled.

“Very well, then. Saturday, 6:00 pm, Bowling Alley near SM Ent.” Lee Teuk said, putting out his cell phone and heading to the living room.

As soon as he felt he was alone, Dong Hae got his White Blackberry from the table and started texting.

Yoona chingu.. Kekeke.. ^_^

Lee Teuk hyung wants us to go bowling again. Are you in? Text me back if you can come, okay?

Looking at his text, Dong Hae felt unsatisfied.

He knew that deep within himself, he wanted to send her a longer message.
A message that would ask her about how she was, a message that would ask her about what’s she been up to, and lastly.. a message that would tell her how much Dong Hae missed her.

Right after that vacation, Jessica wasn’t the only girl Dong Hae was busy texting.

Whenever he and Jessica would bid each other goodbyes, Yoona would always text him a funny quote soon after, and that would start their little late night getaway.

Yoona never failed to keep Dong Hae up the whole night and vice versa.

But after a couple of days, she stopped texting him for some reason.

Dong Hae’s day was never complete ever since she stopped contacting him.

He felt as him there was just something missing inside of him.

No matter how hard he tried to deny it, his feelings for Yoona were coming back.

Dong Hae knew it was wrong, but why did his heart have to make it feel so right?

The skies knew how much he loved Jessica, but they too knew how much he loved Yoona.

“Son, if in the future you fall in love, make sure that you only have eyes for one person. If by chance, two women make you heart beat, you have to make a choice. That choice might lead to someone getting hurt, but it’s better than making them live in lies.”

Dong Hae had a flashback of his father’s advice back in the day.

He was right.

Dong Hae had to make a choice.

But the question is, who’s he going to choose?

yoona dong hae yoonhae why did it have t
