Why Did It Have To Be You
Chapter 25: The Sweet Goodbye (Part 1)
Months had past.
A lot of things had already happened.
Super Junior was busy touring Asia with Super Show 3 while Girls’ Generation was busy with their overseas promotions in Japan.
Though both groups were very successful with their respective endeavors, that wasn’t exactly the case with their personal lives.
A certain couple still hasn’t fixed their broken relationship.
It’s been a long time since Dong Hae and Jessica’s break up, but up until now, not one of them was ready to make the first move.
If neither of them was going to do something, someone just had to.
That was what Yoona thought as she looked at her Jessica unnie who was staring blankly at the television while Tiffany was talking to her.
“Ya! Jessica. Are you listening to me?”
Tiffany said in English as soon as she noticed her fellow American girl not listening to her.
She kept blabbering and blabbering about how much she wanted to buy a pair of Marc Jacobs heels to a person who didn’t really care since she was busy thinking of something else.
“Fany unnie, I may not understand what you just said to Sica, but with the way you said it to her, I feel as if you’re getting mad at her.”
Yoona said as she sat beside Jessica.
“I’m not mad at Jessica, Yoong. I just asked her if she was listening to me for the past few minutes that I’ve been talking about those pink Marc Jacob heels we saw in Tokyo.”
Tiffany explained.
They were back in Korea right now.
SM Entertainment gave them a week to go back to their homeland and get some well deserved rest.
“Oh..”
Yoona nodded at her unnie’s explanation.
“No need to worry, my dear Yoona, nothing’s going to happen to your favorite unnie.”
Jessica told Yoona with a teasing tone.
Tiffany was about to protest with the favorite unnie statement, but she decided to smile instead.
“I’ll leave you two “secretives” alone. I’ll be in Taeyeon’s room, okay?”
Tiffany said, smiling as she headed to her “wife’s” bedroom.
As soon as she felt that they were alone, Yoona decided to talk first.
These past few months, her relationship with Jessica wasn’t awkward anymore.
They were back to being “YoonSic” again.
She really didn’t know if Jessica’s break up with Dong Hae contributed to her now good relationship with her unnie, but Yoona wouldn’t like to think of such.
“Sica unnie, let’s go the park tonight.”
Yoona said.
“Park? Tonight? Why?”
Jessica asked.
This was sort of.. sudden.
“I don’t know.. I just want to go to the park tonight. I miss riding on the swings and making castles over at the sand box.”
Yoona replied, remembering those childhood days when she’d play with her cousins at the park during family outings.
How she missed those happy, innocent days of hers.
“Awww.. Poor choding.”
Jessica teased her dongsaeng as she patted her head.
“Okay. Let’s go the park tonight.”
She added, smiling.
Yoona clapped excitingly and hugged Jessica.
“Uh, unnie. I’ll just go to my room, okay? I need to get something.”
Yoona said, to Jessica’s nod in reply.
She then went into her room and closed the door.
Yoona got her pink flip phone and called a certain someone.
“Yobosaeyo?”
That person’s deep voice started Yoona a bit.
She was definitely not used to hearing him talk to her in that kind of voice.
“Oppa? Dong Hae oppa?”
Yoona started to doubt whether or not it Dong Hae was on the other line.
“Yoona? Oh, hey.”
As soon as Dong Hae knew it was Yoona that was on the other line, he tried to get his normal voice back, but no matter how much he tried, it was still the same.
Deep. Very deep.
“Did you just wake up?”
Yoona asked.
“Uh, yeah. We just arrived from Shanghai this morning.”
Dong Hae replied.
Super Junior arrived in Seoul at around 5:30 this morning.
Right after SS3 in Shanghai, they boarded the first flight heading to South Korea.
They didn’t even get enough time to sleep, so you couldn’t really blame Dong Hae if up until now he was still in dreamland.
“Oppa, are you free tonight?”
Yoona asked.
She really couldn’t believe she said it that way.
She sounded as if she was asking Dong Hae out on a date.
“Uh, yeah. Why?”
Dong Hae asked, smiling.
What was Yoona up to now?
“I just.. want to see you.”
Yoona said.
Though she had another plan, what she told Dong Hae was true.
She really did want to see him.
Upon hearing that, Dong Hae didn’t feel tired and sleepy anymore.
He felt energized and ready to face another day of his life.
“Where do you want to meet up?”
Dong Hae asked.
“The park in front our dorm. Tonight.”
Yoona said.
“Okay. I guess I’ll see you there.”
Dong Hae replied.
He was kind of excited for this little meet up he was going to have with Yoona.
He just couldn’t wait any longer.
“Okay, then. 7:30 pm, see you there.”
Yoona said as she bid Dong Hae goodbye.
As soon as she closed her cell phone, Yoona breathed heavily.
How she hoped that her little plan was going to be successful.
