Did I mention I'm trying to cut down my dairy intake? I know, wtfbbq because oh I love you cheese. Love you so dearly. However, I've been lactose intolerant since I was fifteen and much like recognizing I'm going on nearly 20 years of bad sleep that's 15 of flatulence based on dairy consumption. Bloating and all around discomfort. Tasty, creamy, wonderful discomfort.
Well, I was going to run to the store and pick up a lactose free alternative but Mike asked if he could go out instead. I sent him with a list of random ingredients, some very vague (non-dairy or lactose free or both or whatevers most affordable that isn't milk be it soy or some variation of) and the darling thing brought me back almond milk.
I love not having to give very clear direction and him being able to pick up something that he'll know I like. Of course, it could be my serious obsession with almonds. I have problems with them, and by problems I mean if you don't want your almonds eaten hide them while I'm around.
With that said I met up with Katie tonight and ODed on cheese, so, well, there's that. I'm okay with a little bit of dairy a day but Taco Mac means queso topped with queso and blue cheese and shredded cheese and om nom nom nom cheesey cheese YAY.
Here's to trying to actually take care of myself or something.
