And Now... a Natey Update

Ever since Christmas, Natey has been doing something really cute: He likes to sing the words "Happy Day" every now and then... usually to Katey. The other day he was slapping (not-too-hard) Don on the leg and declaring, "Happy Day!" to him. And the really funny thing is, we have no clue where he got it from! *shakes head* My goofy lil monkey boy! He also likes to babble and giggle with Katey, and he calls her "Katey Bear" (I think he got that from me, but still cute) and gives her lots of kisses. He's been talking more... calling me "Mommy" when he actually wants something instead of as an irritant. He still calls both cats "Sally" ~ the black & white one is Rascal, Don's cat. The poor 'ol girl can't hop over the baby gate anymore when Natey's chasing her, but she'll turn around and face him, like she's challenging him to start some shit with her. But Sally? Nuh uh... she's up and over that gate in a flash to get to her food in the kitchen, and back again and up the stairs in a streak of fur - to get away from Natey as fast as possible! LOL
He's also in the midst of a major growth spurt, me thinks: His appetite has been insane (he usually eats adult portions, but now he's been asking for more, more, more ~ and cleaning up his plate!), and suddenly his pants have turned into high-waters! He still has a narrow lil waist, so 3Ts fall off him (the only time they fit around his waist perfectly is right after he's done eating!)... *sigh* And, his energy level is unbelievably high lately too... like he's been wound up too tight or something in his sleep, and then as soon as he's awake it's gogogo until he crashes!
We've been working on potty-training him... and that's been really nuckin' futz! He absolutely hates having his butt changed now, yet refuses to go on the potty... he can sit there and drink cup after cup of water (or diluted juice) and refuse to go until the diaper is safely back on his rear! Augh! *begins to tear hair out, but stops*
I can't think of much else... I'll post more later if/when I think of anything else.
