I have to pee.

I've been watching movies, but not posting my reviews of them.  How silly of me.  Not that posting movie reviews on my livejournal would mean anything to the newspaper world in the event that I were applying for a job writing at one...but still...

Anyone who is a fan of Seth Rogan's humor should go see Zach and Miri Make a Porno.  Well...maybe anyone who is a fan of his humor and doesn't mind a heavy dose of romantic comedy.  The first half of it is full-on hilarity, followed by a hearty dose of touching emotional moments, which was perfect for someone like me, because that's what I like, but if you're not a fan of the "romantic" in romantic comedy, the second half may not be as enjoyable for you.

You know what, fuck that...you should see it anyway, even if you don't really like romantic movies.  Because it's a good movie.  'Nuff said.

Next up, Role Models.  It sort of seems like having an Elizabeth Banks marathon, but I wasn't, I swear.  She's just in a lot of movies.  And this movie was excellent.  I felt sick as hell, and I still laughed through the whole thing, even though every time I did it made me want to throw up all over AMC's carpet.  If dirty humor or sexual content ruins a movie for you, don't see this.  If it doesn't, then get your ass to a theater and watch it.  Not only will it make you laugh, but it has a pretty good story, and it's a touching movie without being uncomfortably emotional.

I also watched Get Smart and Die Hard at home...I have to say, I'm fast becoming a Die Hard fan.  I'm a very interactive movie watcher, and I really got into that movie.  Also, it's not one of those action movies that is action with nothing else-it's got a little bit of comedy, a little romance...everything I need in a movie.  Get Smart was funny, but I'm glad I didn't see it in theaters.  It's the kind of funny movie I would watch and actually pay attention to once, but I wouldn't buy it, and if I watched it again, I would probably have to be doing something else to keep me occupied at the same time.  The funny moments are funny, but the plot wasn't very strong, so it was a little too slow-paced for me to really get into it.

Anyway...things are pretty good for me.  School is boring, but I'm doing well.  Work is boring, but I'm doing well.  Joel is amazing, and I love him.  Planning a wedding is a new experience for me, and I'm not very good at it.  But it'll turn out cool.  In the meantime, I'm going with Joel to see his dad in Washington for Thanksgiving, and we're driving to Mount Timpanogos, Utah at the end of December for my cousin's wedding.  So that's exciting.  And I went to a Dragonforce concert yesterday and was converted to battle metal fandom...or at least to Turisas fandom.  What can I say, I'm a sucker for any band with an electric violin.  And an accordian.
