Fabulous Friday Recs - FIC RECS: Future!fics
In our last post we recced some of the ways Sam and Dean could be reunited after Season 7. So now, it's only fair to give a step further and make a rec post about a wonderfully timeless kind of fic: future!fics. These fics show our boys leaving the hunting life behind and making a life of their own a few years down the line, maybe after all their battles have been already fought, so they can be considered completely post-show. To be honest, they are also my personal favorites because who doesn't want to see our favorite brothers get their domestic happy ever after?

Author's Summary: Things are going well. Future-fic.
Notes by Reccer: Beautiful and cathartic story about the boys adapting to a normal life at different paces, and slowly letting go of their issues in order to reconnect with each other and the outside world at an emotional level. There's talking, schmoop and a visit to the Grand Canyon. What else can you ask for?

Notes by Reccer: Adorable and funny slice of life in which the guys start looking for the perfect place to settle down. Because sometimes happiness is not a place, but a path and the person you share it with.

Author's Summary: Dean doesn't know how to go on without Sam, so Death provides him with an alternative.
Notes by Reccer: A different kind of future!fic, and yet maybe the more believable one. This story will break you a little and then fix you in the most wonderful, touching and perfect way. Because no matter the realm, Sam and Dean belong together..
