Posting Template

SUBJECT TITLES:
All mediums submitted will need subject titles to ensure proper tagging. It's easiest for mods if they stay in a similar format. We suggest using: MEDIUM: 'TITLE' [CHARACTERS/PAIRING]. If a wordcount or rating is applicable, include that in the brackets. Titles are encouraged but if you don't have a title, sub in topic/subject/theme. Some fans like to include other descriptors in the brackets like, 'post-S7' or '7.17 FITB' or '7.06 coda'. If you have room, stuff like that is fine too.

POST DESCRIPTIONS:
All mediums will need descriptions for their in-comm posts. This varies considerably across medium.

Additionally, we know most fans would rather keep comments in one place and have control of their creative works by posting in a comm with a link to their work instead of posting it straight in the comm. However, we also want a comm of visual content, not just a collection of links. So what follows below is the compromise our mods came up with. Simply find your medium, copy/paste the code into your in-comm post, and fill in the necessary info/links/etc.

For your full post in your LJ, all we ask is that you mention somewhere in the description that the content was created for theheartofspn. If it was created for LOVEfest, please link the signup post as well. (i.e. Created for theheartofspn's Winchester Summer LOVEfest.)

If you have any trouble or questions, or want to use a media not listed here (we tried to think of the most common ones but we did ask you to be creative!), please contact mods at theheartofspn@gmail.com.

FIC:

This is mostly a standard fic description. However we have included a 'snapshot/teaser' portion too. Please keep your selection relatively short, no more than 5 lines. If you'd like to include a fic banner instead of or in addition to your 'snapshot/teaser', you can do so (just keep in mind, you have to add your own img arc tags to the code for that).

Minimum fic word count is 500 words, so ficlets are welcome as well!

Delete the warnings section if not applicable.

If you have multiple pieces in your original content post, we'd still ask you to limit it to one teaser image. Please include SFW/NSFW in the rating section.

META:

We'll include meta picspams as a subsection of meta, so please use this template for those types of picspams. But also include a relevant cap or small portion of your picspam as well, like the one shown above (img arc tags must be added to the code below).

PICSPAM:

Picspams are pretty much free reign. You can do Top 10 picspams of a specific theme, add your own thoughts, or let the images speak for themselves. Meta picspams will be considered meta, and will be tagged as such.

FANMIX:

We'd like to encourage fanmixers to use 8tracks.com to house their fanmixes. It's a wonderful resource for fandom, and makes first listening really easy. However, it does not have a tracklisting nor an option to download all. This is why the pairing of 8tracks with an LJ post is so ideal. We'd like you to link to your mix on 8tracks and then link to your fanmix LJ post where you can list the tracks and artists in order (some like to provide a section of lyric for each, or more detailed artwork, that's all your choice). In your LJ post, you can also provide a zip folder for fans to download the whole fanmix if you're comfortable with doing so.

RECS:

This is the only kind of medium we will require a in-comm post only. No links to a rec post in your personal LJ.

Please limit yourself to 5 recs per post. Our suggestion is to develop rec posts by a specific theme (and use that theme as a title of your post like above). Remember you can made multi-media recs as well. We'd like if you could also add your own two cents about each work you rec (what you liked about it, what made it memorable, how it made you think about canon, etc.).

Use the code below for each rec made:
