2013

Yet another year is drawing to a close. And what a year it's been; a year of milestones.

1. Graduation

I already blogged about graduation, but thought I'd say a few more words just for this blog post. It was an incredible three year long journey in Ngee Ann Mass Comm, and I'm grateful every day that I chose that path and met the people that I did. I learned many things, academic and personal, and would gladly relive my three years, if given the chance. It's just so hard to believe that my three years there have already come to a close, because it was all I knew, lived, ate, and breathed for such a long time.

2. Phuket

The Land of Smiles indeed. My second vacation with Grace, and our last before uni. I miss the sun, sand and sea all the time. We had so much fun.

3. Uni: moving to England

Probably the biggest thing that's ever happened to me. Before I came here to study, I'd never even been to England before. It's been about three months of my living there, and I love it so much. The weather, Durham... Of course there are things I miss about being home: like my friends, family, my rabbits, the convenience, the clubbing (Zouk), the food(!!!)... I've been back in Singapore for a few weeks now and it seems like nothing has changed. Although I have been very ill all throughout Christmas and now New Year's, so that hasn't been much fun at all. I've been downright miserable. However, I've had a smashing 2013, so I guess this is a small price to pay. Some pictures of Durham:

And of course, in between these milestones, I had a fantastic time with everyone I love. I'm very grateful to the friends who've stayed, the friends I grew closer to this year, and the friends I only started talking to this year. 2013 was beautiful and amazing and so colourful. I had the time of my life this year. I must say that this was a year of few tears as well. I've been really happy and fulfilled up to this point. Although 2013 is ending and 2014 is beginning in poor health for me, I can safely say that I'm truly appreciative for all the good things and people that have come my way, and I hope that 2014 will be just as good to me. After all, it is what you make of it.
