Question: SGA: What is it about John Sheppard that still calls to you despite canon being over and fannish drift?
Aside from from being ridiculously handsome, I've always been charmed by John's goofiness. Sure, he's The Big Hero, but he's also a bit of a dork, is pretty damn awkward at times, and pretends to be suave and debonair but misses the mark completely. He also seems to delight in playing with Rodney, and has always seemed kind of tickled by Rodney's (sometimes) abrasive personality. JF created a marvelous character, one far more interesting and appealing than was originally written by TPTB.
