Hiya flisters,

Long time, no write...I am a reclusive fangirl like that.  I promise I still love you guys even when I am burrowed deep within the catcave.  However, I also realize that actions speak louder than words so I am resolving, after a lovely d*c meet-up with many of you, to be more present around lj and twitter.  So, here I go with two ( Read more... )

I have no recollection of Katee talking about motives/circumstances around the events of Maelstrom. I didn't start watching until later, so the discussion had changed tone -- the current "did you know you were coming back" has dominated the conversation for as long as I've been aware of it.

Personally, I think that Kara was very much aware of how much of a danger she was to herself (if not exactly how), and I think that's why she didn't want to be flying and didn't trust herself. This was the Fate that had been decreed for her and she was, frankly, terrified by it. I don't think she really accepted it, though, until she woke up from that dream. That's why she needed Lee on her wing up to that point, and thereafter was able to ask him to let her go.

OH, PILOTS! Now my heart is breaking for them, again.

Anyways!

Avengers: Hawkeye/Black Widow? It's subtle. I suggest you rent it and watch it again with a particular eye for shippable actions and attitudes. It's there, but it's definitely a sub-subplot and easy to miss/interpret as general friendship if you don't specifically want to see it. I do not have the level of feels for it that may other do, but with a bit more story I could easily see them as a less broken Lee/Kara.

My only excitement since D*C has been finding out that my grandfather (92, wife died in January, full life) is dying of kidney failure/old age. In fact, I need to take a picture for his memorial card in the next couple of days. We hope to have them at the funeral this time (my grandmother's was so last minute that my mother, aunt and I didn't have time to get that sorted before the funeral), and that won't happen if I don't get pictures very soon.
