Hello World, I have questions...

Long time, no write...I am a reclusive fangirl like that. I promise I still love you guys even when I am burrowed deep within the catcave. However, I also realize that actions speak louder than words so I am resolving, after a lovely d*c meet-up with many of you, to be more present around lj and twitter. So, here I go with two questions I've been pondering and would like fangirl help in answering. There's also a third, open-ended question at the end. Any or all are up for discussion...
1. Okay, K/L peeps, this one's for you. Does anyone know if Katee (or others) has ever addressed 1) whether Kara's death in Maelstrom was supposed to be seen as a suicide or as crazy/hallucination/concussion unintended death? Also, if a suicide (which is not my interpretation, btw, hence the curiosity), then when did the intentionality/decision occur for her? I mean did she know she was going out to kill herself during the under the wing scene? For that matter, did she somehow know during under the wing that she was going to die but not really as a suicide...more just premonition? I'd love to hear your thoughts and also any links or info if Katee has addressed these questions previously.
2. Avengers folks, you have sprouted up all over, and I feel like maybe I am missing the light. Yes, there was an Avengers movie. I watched it and it was very good and Joss did it and Robert Downey Jr and Renner and Johanssen are hot. However, somewhere I missed all the feels...and that's where I am asking for help. Do I need to rewatch the movie or do I need to watch a million previous movies, read their histories in comic form, etc? I ask because if it's the former, I'd like to do that. However, if it's the latter, I may pass...unless you lovely people can direct me to the most critical sources of information and background.
3. Finally, how's everyone? Anything exciting (random facts, life changing events, etc) to share? Also, feel free to ask if you have any burning questions for me. I'll generally answer, as K gleefully discovered while at d*c.
