phew. i'm really trying to make a concerted effort to stay calm. it takes a lot. but these things help: libbeth, good coffee, baseball, the new york times, and lifetime's "hello bastards." i'm just high-strung that's all. rooserbow, last weekend, during an impromptu visit, leaving the neptune diner after brunch said that, "i worry about how much you worry." it just takes concerted effort on my part.
this weekend we went to see a semi-student film that featured a paper mache purple cow and a crazy man-bull named Bullpucky. a lot of blood, a lot of nudity. relatively abhorrent. but you have to respect that sort of over-the-top enthusiasm. on the other side of the spectrum, we went today to see the neil young documentary, "heart of gold." i'm starting to do research on my article about "after the gold rush." apparently the house that he wrote and recorded it in was for sale going for near 900K in Topanga Canyon. http://www.garyharryman.com/moreinfo/moreinfoskylinetrail.html. crazy!
