[ Canon Point ] : After Gold beats the Elite Four, his journey is about to begin in Kanto. Which means he knows nothing about Red, or the fact that he is about to take a similar journey.
[ History ] :
Three years after Red became champion, a young boy from New Bark Town named Gold embarked on a journey like never before. To become the best Pokemon trainer in his town. He was invited (much like any other young boy or girl would have been) to the local Pokemon Professors lab. Which Gold later learns is Professor Elm. He was given his first starter Pokemon, Cyndaquil. Gold was overjoyed to recieve his first Pokemon and was immediatly sent on his first "errand" of sorts as a Pokemon trainer. He was to go visit Mr. Pokemon and retrieve his latest discovery. In the meantime, to get ahold of her son- Gold's mom gives him the PokeGear and registers both her number and the Professor's number. Upon arriving at the Pokemon Professors house Gold recieves a call that the Pokemon Lab has been robbed! Gold rushes back, only to be stopped by this strange red haired fellow, after Gold battles him- he learns his name is Silver. Upon arriving back at the Pokemon Lab, Gold learns that Silver is the one who robbed Elm, hence RIVAL!
Along the way he battles the re-grouping Team Rocket ( which is widely known in the series as your second main rival). First discovering them around the beginning of his journey at the Slowpoke Well. They were easily defeated there. Gold then encounters them again in Mahogany Town, at the Lake of Rage (Where the Red Gyarados can be found), and in the Secret Hideout in the strange house with the strange looking tree located in Mahogany Town. They were not so easily defeated there, but Gold had the luck of meeting Lance, a dragon master with a trusty Dragonite. Gold faces them one last time in Johto in the Underground hideout. He defeats them for good, and they once again give up contacting Giovanni (who never shows up in the first place), and disband. [Note: Gold does encounter one more grunt in Kanto, defeated easily and life goes on. But my Gold isn't that far into the storyline yet.]
Similar to any other rivalary, Gold goes one way and Silver goes the other. Occasionally the rivals will butt heads. As time goes by it is becoming quite obvious that Gold treats his team of Pokemon with a lot of respect, and silver does nothing but work them to the bone, and even with the type advantage Silver has over Gold's starter Pokemon (Silver having a Water type, and Gold having the weakness of Fire) can Silver manage to beat Gold. They each battle various trainers and go to every end of the region of Johto to battle the Gym Leaders.
Finally on the road to the Elite Four, Gold faces off with Silver one more time. Firmly asserting who is the better trainer. Gold come out victorious and moves on to the Pokemon League to challenge the Elite Four (a strong bunch of trainers). One by one the Elite Four are taken down! Gold is ecited, and his last door opens. He must now challenge the Champion- which is Gold's old friend from the battle with Team Rocket, Dragon Master Lance! Gold challenges Lance and defeats him, it was even match. But Lance steps down as Champion and Gold becomes the new Champion of the Johto Region.
The journey is far from over however. Gold is called back to New Bark to learn that there are more adventures waiting for him in the Kanto Region.
[ Personality ] :
Gold, a boy that is normally very happy and joyful about most situations. He never ever tries to look at the bad sides of situations, he tries to be the chin up in a group of people. He's very good at understanding his pokemon as well, he has a mutual understanding with them, he loves them and treats them like friends. He's very good at bringing out potential in every pokemon he raises, especially his Typhlosion which started out as a Cyndaquil.
Gold is stubborn. one his mind is set to something. He won't give up on that particular thing until it's been completed. Whether it be evolving a Pokemon, or chasing after his rival, Silver. He's also too cocky for his own good. Gold gets rather cocky when he battles his Pokemon with other trainers. More often than not, he wins. But there is the times where his cockiness will get the better of him when he battles a higher level trainer than himself he will lose.
Even noted by the notorious Professo Oak, Gold has strange habits such as: Skateboarding, and Gambling. Also, that Gold is very immature. He never thinks things through completely when he has an idea. It's usually a rush and get this idea on the move kind of thing. Which leads into a very notable careless nature. it hasn't caught up with him yet. But it's very likely that one day it will come back to bite him.
Often times he can be mischievious. Very mischievious. Gold can be sneaky and underhanded. When Gold sets his mind on a goal, his mischievious rule breaking side will tend to come out more often than not. But he often strives to prove himself worthy of the attention he wants. He's also known to be arrogant and cocky towards people, often calling them derogatory names, but this is mostly towards the villians of the series. Often times he lies to get out of situations, the more people get to know Gold, the more they see his lying. It's not an honorable trait to have, but he certainly thinks it helps save his rear from trouble.
All together, Gold is just any normal teenager. Except he breeds and trains Pokemon.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] : - is a strength, * is a weakness.
-Gold is very good at Pokemon Breeding, he prides himself in it.
-He's also a very skilled trainer.
-He's good at strategizing. Even if deemed immature and reckless.
-He's rather talented at making friends, even if he doesn't realize it. He's just a social butterfly.
*He often times let his anger issues get in the way of his goals.
*He holds grudges. Meaning he is controlled by his emotions.
*In the game, you see Gold get pushed out of the way by Silver. Meaning Gold probably doesn't have nearly the body strength that Silver does.
*-Gold can be a bit of a bully, but only if he doesn't like you!
[ Other Important Facts ] :
*In canon, Gold also encounters the three Legendary Dogs (Suicune, Entei, and Raikou) at the Burned tower in Ecruteak. That becomes an important part of the story for Gold to obtain Lugia and Ho-oh.
*He adores his starter Pokemon, which is fully evolved to Typhlosion.
*He doesn't really hate Silver, he just wishes Silver would get his act together and realize that he is treating his Pokemon incorrectly. He really feels bad for Silver and his Pokemon.
*Gold also doesn't know that Silver is the heir of Team Rocket, and that he's trying to live up to a name. But Gold crumbles it when he takes down Team Rocket in one fell swoop.
*A trait from "Pokemon Adventures", Gold likes to try gourmet food from different areas. (I personally, as the mun LOVE this trait about him and I'd love to keep it as a part of him even though I took him from gameverse.)
[ Sample ] :
Gold wakes with a start. Cobblestone, he was lying on cobblestone. That wasn't right, when he went to sleep he was lying on lush grass in the route outside of New Bark town. He'd gone home before he went off to Kanto. He needed to see his mom and the professor, he'd really missed his mom on his more than a year long journey through Johto. But Gold's surroundings are suddenly unfamiliar. It was cobblestone, vast oceans around him...wait, why wasn't he drowning then? He was soaking wet, not to mention.
Gold finally takes the time to sit up, ow, cobblestone really hurts your back. He pulled his bag over to his front. He'd only taken two Pokemon out to the route with him just incase, Espeon and Typhlosion, after a short check to see if they were still there he lifts himself from the ground. Releasing Espeon to follow him around. "Alright Girl, we have to figure out where we are." Gold would start with people that looked like they were from here. Only getting slightly annoyed at one, giving them a distasteful sneer for laughing at him- he just wanted to know if this was Kanto. It was hard determining where you were if you just wake up there. "Teaches me to take naps, doesn't it. Tch."

Third character is the charm? Amiright?! Can Gold have his Pokemon team here, or do I need to be limited to one Pokemon? If so, his starter will be the one who comes with him.
