Character Survey;
Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
-Gold is around 5'4, I'd like to guess. He's not very tall (then again he's still a growing boy) and he's not fat. He's actually rather skinny. But it's a healthy skinny.
2. How old is he?
-Gold is 15 years old.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
-Gold carries himself in a slouch if he gets angry or has lost a battle. But generally carries himself very well.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
-Gold is very fit, and athletic. He is a Pokemon Trainer. He has to be at his physical peak of fitness if he is going to climb Mt. Silver and challenge Red.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
-He's very fluid, but sadly, our hero isn't graceful. He often trips over his own two feet. To think this kid beat Lance, right?
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
-Gold thinks he's rather attractive. In fact, he is. He's very adorable for a fifteen year old. He doesn't much care for his looks though, because to him they really don't matter.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
-Gold has very light skin when he began his Pokemon Journey. But after those months of being out in the summer sun he's gained a little bit of a tan.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
-Gold's hair is black, a jet black. Despite what it looks like, Gold's hair is between being soft and coarse. The back of his hair lays flat and his bangs stick out a little; likely due to the fact he wears a hat on his head for most of his journey.
9. What color are his eyes?
-Gold's eyes are gold. Deep gold. His eyes are very entrancing to look at directly.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
-Note really. His eyes are his most noteworthy feature.
11. What are his chief tension centers?
-In his shoulders.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
-He wears a red jacket with a black undershirt. His black and gold hat. His pants are capri type pants that are black, we can top it off with his red and white sneakers. It's very casual and loose fitting to go with the lifestyle of being a trainer. They're mostly darker colors. His only other outfit is the one he wears for PokeStadium; which is a pair of loose blue gymshorts and a loose jersey shirt.
He wore a Rocket Uniform for all of an hour when he infiltrated the Rocket hideout. It was dispelled by Silver. His normal outfit however is the only one he wears.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
-They are loose, but fit him well. He is very comfortable in them!
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
-He dresses the same for everything but the PokeStadium.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Gold: /BLUSHING!
-Gold wears boxers, despite mom packing him briefs!
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
-Auuuugh! If I could only locate a video of him singing, I had one from NicoNico. He had somewhat of a higher tenor voice. It really fit him. He's already gone through puberty, he's fifteen!
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
-Gold can be VERY loud! He's really peppy. But he talks fairly evenly, and talks easily. He's never really had trouble talking to people. The only person he hesitates talking to sometimes is his mother- he doesn't want her to know that he's been in a bunch of danger lately.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
-Not really! He's got a pretty straightforward accent. But it's nothing too distinct.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
-He speaks fluent japanese. (This is a japanese made video game OTL)
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
-Not at all.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
-It depends on the situation. But he can speak impromptu if he really needed to.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
-He is the protagonist of his story. While in the game he is silent. He is eloquent in the situations he is barging in on Team Rocket, and attempting to foil them. Inarticulate when he is around Silver- because damn rivals like that make him so mad.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
-Definitely more street-smart than book-smart.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
-On his feet.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
-He is more intuitive than anything, and he can be very idealistic. What else do you espect from a fifteen year old?
4. What kind of education has the character had?
-Little to none. He is a trainer representing New Bark town. He did not have time for all that school stuff.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
-He's a Pokemon Trainer. So there is a definite area of expertise- he defeated the Elite Four and Lance in one go which shows his skill in battling. Gold has taken a recent liking to breeding before he appeared in Vatheon- he would love to learn more about breeding Pokemon and the basic care for the eggs.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
-He's an extrovert, are you kidding me?!
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
-Gold's temperament can vary. He's normally a very exuberant and outgoing person. He has a short temper however. He is known to get short with people he really just generally doesn't like. ie; Silver. But he is very driven towards his goals.
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
-Gold lives by "don't judge a book by it's cover". He accepts new people fairly well. Not timid, nor enthusiastically though. Situations, eh, you'd have to give me a specific one.
9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
-Act.
10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
-Fight.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
-Gold enjoys a good laugh every now and again, Gold is quite the prankster himself!
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
-Nope, his mental stability is fantastic.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
-When he left home to become a Pokemon Trainer.
-First Battle.
-First encounter with the Rockets.
-Meeting Lance the Dragon Master.
-Last encounter and defeat of the Rockets.
-Gaining all of his Johto League Badges.
-Defeating the Elite Four.
-Defeating Lance and becoming Champion.
Each of these things have had a role in making Gold the person he is. [Will update defining moments when I canon update him in Vatheon.
14. What does he fear?
-Losing his Pokemon. Losing his friends. Gold fears. . being alone.
15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
-To challenge the Champion of Kanto, and win.
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
-That he actually has a fear. Gold is Gold. Gold doesn't fear ANYTHING.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
-Gold does not canonly have a father. But he has a very close knit relationship with his mother. So much that he lets her handle part of his money, she cares about him very much. Picking up items she thinks may be useful yo him at the PokeMart.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
-None.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
-None.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
-Lyra. He considers Lyra somewhat like a sister. They have been best friends ever since childhood. They both started out on the Pokemon Journey together.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
-Lyra. Childhood Friend. Met in New Bark Town.
6. Does he have other close friends?
-He considers everyone registered in his PokeGear to be his friend. Though he has formed a friendship with the Olivine Gym Leader.
7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
-He makes friends easily.
8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
-His mother is the most important to him. So family.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
-Single.
10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
-HE IS SINGLE. D<
11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
-Lyra was his first crush at 13, not telling who it is now~.
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
-He doesn't know what to look for.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?

-Green (in vatheon) and Silver (in canon / vatheon)

-Not important at all. But he knows he will experience it one day.
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?

Beliefs

-Will come back to this.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
-Not religious. But he is spiritual. Important enough to visit the grave sites in Lavender Town.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
"Don't judge a book by it's cover." -It would take a lot to break him from this.
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
-He's tolerant until you put Silver in front of him.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
-None.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
-Comfortable. Very comfortable after defeating the league.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
-Middle Class. In no way has it affected him.
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
-Where ever he can get to crash. But in New Bark he lives with his mother.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
-PokeBalls, Hyper Potions. . . you know. Trainer stuff. Food.
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
-He's a Pokemon Trainer! He loves it, and would do NOTHING else!
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
-Pokemon Trainers, free time? Really now.
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
-Gold eats a lot for a kid his size. xD
