Katniss was at a loss as to what to do with her things.
It wasn't as though she was going to need much of anything. What was the use of shipping things back to Twelve, or taking them with her at all? Prim would inherit them, certainly, but all it would do was serve as a reminder of what had been taken from them. Katniss knew this, because none of her father's things were out at home. They were hidden away in trunks and closets, kept away from their grief.
She was doing everything she could not to think about any of it. How she was going to have to face her nightmares all over again. How her friends were going to watch. How it would probably hurt. She wasn't allowed to think about any of that, or she'd dive under the bed and stay there.
So instead she was dutifully packing all of Cinna's garments away, and her books, and her few other belongings. It wasn't as though she had much, anyway.
[this is Katniss' last post in Fandom, for the summer. She thinks she's not coming back, no. Feel free to handwave that you got a call if you need to!]
