*SHRIEK* so close and yet SO far . . .

My last flight from Chicago to Buffalo (where I was supposed to be rescued by a friend and ferried back across the border to my messed up home) is CANCELLED due to weather (that's how they write it, all-caps, everywhere the word appears). I have managed to sob my way onto a flight directly to Toronto in the morning but I'm still stuck in Chicago overnight without accommodations. Do any of you know any non-fictional characters here who might be able and willing to help me with a place to crash and directions for getting there and back, if not a ride?

ETA: SAVED! Have a ride to a sleeping surface and back to the airport. Now to figure out what the hell has happened to my checked bag in all the excitement
