I didn't fall off the world
I've just been working my ass off. Also, I joined Ravelry (a social networking site for knitters and crocheters) and it's been eating my time.
My life is pretty boring. Role playing has been sparse lately; the gamemasters in my group are in kind of a funk. I have to put way too much of my paycheck towards student loans. Bleh. Mostly I'm just trying to think of things to knit with all the yarn I already have and trying to think of ways my SO and I can have fun together without spending too much money.
A friend of mine who has been into making wine for longer than the couple years I've known her has recently started making beer. Her first batch went into bottles last night for the final fermentation stage. She says it will be done in about a week. I'm doing a craft exchange with her to get some beer as a birthday present for my step dad. He's a beer fan; he's been to beer tastings, even. (my neck of the woods if full of microbrews)
I made my SO and our roomie each a little stuffed Beholder:
They are much admired and my brewer friend is gong to trade me a sixpack for a Beholder for her boyfriend.
The other thing I'm happy about right now is I made a little stuffed chibi version of movieverse!Toad.
